Qianhai West Street
Qianhai West Street is located in the north of the east end of Di'anmen West Street, which is connected with Qiangan Hutong. This is the west edge of Qianhai. After liberation, the southwest part of Qianhai was reclaimed and changed into a stadium (now Beijing Shichahai Sports School), which moved from west to East, and was renamed Qianhai West Street.
Historical evolution
17 street is Prince Gong's residence. Since Daoxian: Prince Gong's house is in the west of the back gate, three turn bridge, and the old house of helao. At the beginning, it was the residence of Yongyu, the prince of Qingjun, and at the beginning of Xianfeng, it was given the residence of LiuYe. (Note: the sixth master is Prince Gong Yi. I heard that Prince Gongzhong's first place was in Yinding bridge, which used to be Hexiao's. It is surrounded by water from Ligong bridge (i.e. Li Guang bridge), so outside the west wall, the stream is clear and the water is thunderous. His residence, Zhongshan pool, also draws water from a stream. The capital's residences are unique. Kun defeated, in order to celebrate the prince. It is said that at the end of the reign of Emperor Qianlong, all the kings met to talk about the peace and to fight for the law. The king (Qing) was silent, and Renzong (Jiaqing) and all the kings heckled him. Wang said: I have no ambition, but if I want to enfeoffment in another day, it is enough to be in the first place. Just smile. If you lose, you will win as you say. He Lu was the Minister of military aircraft and the Minister of internal affairs during the reign of Qianlong, and he was also the son and daughter of Qianlong. He also takes bribes. He is rich and expensive. Therefore, he built a new mansion on the old foundation of Li Guangdi, a eunuch of Ming Dynasty. The scale of the mansion was so luxurious and magnificent that when he Lu was copied, one of his crimes was that "the nanmu house built by him was luxurious and the style of partition was imitated by Renshou palace system." This mansion is the admiration of the prince forever, which shows the excellence of its architecture. It was during the reign of Xiantong in the Qing Dynasty that the mansion was returned to Prince Gong Yiluo. He lived in langrunyuan in the western suburb (now in Peking University) before it was rebuilt and became Prince Gong's mansion.
After the revolution of 1911, King Gong sold his residence and garden to Fu Ren University. After liberation, its south was China Conservatory of music and China Academy of art. Prince Gong's residence is the most complete one in Beijing after liberation, which was renovated and opened to the outside world. It is also said in the book "I heard so close that King Gong built his own garden when there was a garden in the north of his residence. The Jianyuan here is located in the Xiangfeng Hutong in the north of Wangfu. In the Qing Dynasty, prostitutes were not allowed to take part in banquets. For convenience, King Gong built this garden, which was later lived by song Xiaolian, a famous official in Northeast China, and later Mo Dehui also lived here.
Former residence of Guo Moruo
No. 18 of Qianhai West Street is Guo Moruo's former residence. Its site was originally a part of Prince Gong's house, which was the stables of Prince Gong's house. After the revolution of 1911, the descendants of King Gong sold the site to the musicians of Tongrentang, who built it. In November 1963, Mr. Guo moved here from No. 5, xissinan courtyard. He died in June 1978 and lived here all the time. The former residence is the most concentrated and complete place of cultural relics of Comrade Guo Moruo in China. In August 1982, the state officially decided to list the former residence as a national key cultural relics protection unit in memory of this outstanding proletarian cultural warrior.
