Sanlitun is located in the Midwest of Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. Starting from Sanlitun road in the East, Xindong road in the west, No.2 trolley car factory in the north, and worker's Stadium North Road in the south, it gets its name because it is three li away from the inner city. The Ming and Qing Dynasties belonged to Daxing County of shuntianfu. As a film title, it generally refers to the area surrounded by Zuojiazhuang, Chaowai Street, Hujialou and Maizidian. In 1962, the North embassy area was built in the region. From 1960s to 1970s, the diplomatic apartment group was built. Sanlitun area gradually developed into an important community for diplomats in China to live, shop and foreign affairs activities. There are 10 vertical and 12 horizontal streets in the area. Xindong road and worker's Stadium East Road are part of the capital's former Yingbin Road. Sanlitun Bar Street is one of the main places of nightlife in Beijing. The building area of taiguli in Sanlitun is 170000 square meters, and a cultural and art block covering 52600 square meters will be built. It is located in Sanlitun North Street, facing Sanlitun Bar Street across the street. All the buildings in the block are 4 stories, with a height limit of 18 meters. Taking the "3.3" building as the boundary, taiguli in Sanlitun is divided into North and south areas.

According to Ms. Zhang, a staff member of Sanlitun sub district office, taiguli in Sanlitun is only a commercial real estate project. It does not mean that taiguli in Sanlitun has replaced the old Sanlitun after a major renovation. According to her introduction, Sanlitun taiguli is located in the west of Sanlitun Bar Street, which goes north and south. The bar street as a whole remains unchanged, but it is still located in the east of Sanlitun Bar Street. "The addition of taiguli in Sanlitun can only say that it has promoted the fashion and prosperity of the whole block of Sanlitun, but it does not represent all of Sanlitun." Ms. Zhang said that positioning Sanlitun as a fashion cultural and creative district is to turn cultural and creative things into economic benefits.
