Liantang villa is located in Haicang village, Haicang street. It was built in the late Qing Dynasty. It is located on a small island called lianhuazhou. During the Qing Dynasty, the brothers Chen Binghuang and Chen Bingyou, whose ancestral home was Songtian in Tongan, became famous families in Haicang. Bingyou went abroad to do business. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu, he returned home with a lot of money. His son Chen Qide designed and built the settlement. The whole family moved in from the former Sandu houtang society in Haicheng county. The residents are still descendants of the Chen family. Chen Qibin, a descendant of Chen Binghuang, joined the Communist Party of China before liberation. He escorted materials from Hong Kong to the liberated areas.
