Yangdong tourist area is located 7.5km northeast of Hanshan County, Anhui Province. During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, monk Huibao traveled here, so he built a house at the foot of the mountain, so he got the name.

Huayang cave is the main landscape of baochan mountain. There are many natural landscapes in the cave, which are different from each other. Wang Anshi, a famous writer of the Song Dynasty, was attracted to visiting the cave and raised a fire to explore the cave. He wrote down the famous poem "a journey to baochan mountain" which has been handed down for thousands of years, and verified that its name was once "Huayang cave", adding luster to the literary history.

Huayang cave now has four caves: Tiandong, beidong, Mendong and Didong. The proven cave group is 5000 meters long, with 10 scenic spots and 102 scenic spots. Among them, the stele cave is named misihai, which is also called "Huayang cave" in Wang Anshi's travel notes. Stele hole ring space by Zhang, left fold such as building, stone flow spring, gurgling can be heard. There are many inscriptions in the cave, of which "Huayang" and "all things are empty" are the most eye-catching.

Features of scenic spots

The natural landscape and human history of baochan mountain can be summarized as five unique.

Yijue is the mountain of baochan. According to textual research, baochan mountain is the general name of many peaks. It starts from Lingzhi mountain in the East, ends at Aoyu mountain in the west, and starts from Yunfeng mountain and Wan'er mountain in the right. Each peak has its own origin.

Second, it is the stone of baochan. There are dozens of precious stones in baochan mountain, including stalactite, Taihu mountain stone, water absorbing stone, crystal stone and so on. One of the oddities is that the stone trees coexist, the stone trees are wrapped up, and the trees hold the stone. Many thousand year old trees and exotic trees grow in the holes and crevices of the grotesque Taihu stones, intertwined with the grotesque stones. The other is that the shapes are grotesque and colorful. Some of them are abrupt and hollow, some of them lie peacefully, like human beings or animals. Most of them are brown gray with white, yellow, green, red, purple and so on. There was a legend that rice grains dropped on the stone in Huayang cave would have good luck.

Three unique caves for baochan. Huayang cave is the first cave in baochan mountain. However, in addition to the famous Huayang cave, there are at least three little-known caves in baochan mountain: Luohan cave, Xianren cave and Sigu cave.

Sijue is the spring of baochan. The spring water of baochan mountain is inexhaustible all the year round, which is also the aura of baochan mountain. Now there are two or three people in Damiao village. The villagers once dug up piles of pieces of Ming and Qing Dynasty pottery and porcelain from Fangjing spring.

Wujue is the temple of baochan. According to relevant documents, since the founding of baochan temple in the Tang Dynasty, incense has been continuously burning, temples and nunneries have been expanding, eminent monks have gathered, and pilgrims have been coming and going. In its heyday, there were 99.5 temples, temples, nunneries and incense fields, covering an area of tens of miles. It started from Huayang cave in the East and reached Zhaoguan pass in the West. It was said that "paomaguanshanmen" became a famous Buddhist holy land at that time.

1. If you go from Shanghai, you can take the train to Nanjing First, and then take the bus from Nanjing to Hanshan to Hanshan county. You can take No.1 bus in the county to the scenic spot.

Ticket information: no ticket required. Included in the tickets of Maoshan in Jurong, the adult tickets are 120 yuan in peak season (February June and October) and 90 yuan in off season (July September and November January). Children, students and the elderly aged 60-69 who are between 1.3m and 1.5m (including 1.5m) have half tickets with valid certificates, while children under 1.3m (including 1.3m) and the elderly over 70 have free tickets with valid certificates.
