A new two-story exhibition hall with European style was built and named Tacheng red building museum. It was officially opened free of charge on March 31, 2008. At present, there are more than 7000 precious cultural relics of various historical periods in the red chamber Museum. In July 2008, Tacheng regional museum was officially named "patriotic education base of the autonomous region".
