Tianxiang villa is a Chinese and Western Garden Villa. In 1935, it was built by Xi Qisun, the owner of Xijia garden in Dongshan, Dongting. It was once occupied by Li Shiqun, governor of Wang puppet province. It was used by the party and government organs after liberation.

In the garden, there are mounds of soil and stones, stone steps and paths. There are six corner pavilions on the mountain, and the trees are verdant. Based on the layout and structural form of Suzhou traditional Dizhai garden, the garden absorbs the northern architectural style, and integrates some features of Western architecture. It is unique and harmonious in appearance and decoration.

The west gate, car hall and hall have been removed. The existing buildings face south, including flower Hall (Mandarin Duck Hall), main building and east-west building. The three buildings are connected by corridors, with a hard mountain roof covered with green glazed tiles. The space between the buildings is decorated with rocks and bamboos. Each building has "Yun Yu", "Liang Xiang", "Zhen Qu", "Di Chen", "Xuan Sheng", "Qing Yuan" and "original" brick doors. The interior decoration adopts traditional forms, including doors and windows, lattice fans, screen doors, carved flowers, ancient coins, birds and animals, as well as the calligraphic works of celebrities of past dynasties such as Wang Xizhi, Cai Xiang, Zhao Ziang, Dong Qichang, Wang Wenzhi, Weng Fanggang, Zheng Banqiao, Deng Shiru, Zeng Guofan, Li Genyuan, etc. The garden is on the east side of the house, with a horizontal rectangular plane. In the garden, there are mounds of soil and stones, stone steps and paths, six corner pavilions on the mountain, and a platform to the East, surrounded by verdant trees. The mountains are surrounded by pools, decorated with lake stones and flower paths. The pavilions and corridors in the north of the pool are tortuous, which is a good place to rest and enjoy the scenery. In the old days, the rocks in the garden were as strange as animals, so it was commonly known as the animal garden. Based on the layout, structure and decoration of Suzhou traditional Dizhai garden, the garden absorbs the materials, technology and some characteristics of Western architecture, which is more unique and harmonious, and full of the style of the Republic of China.
Tianxiang Xiaozhu was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2013. The house is located in the west, facing south from north. The front gate has been demolished. It is convenient and orderly. The roof is hard Hill style, covered with green glazed tiles, making the building look beautiful. The space between the buildings is decorated with lake stones and bamboos. The ground is paved with flower street. Each building has "Yun Yu", "Liang Xiang", "Zhen Qu", "Di Chen", "Xuan Sheng", "Qing Yuan" and "original" brick doors. The internal structure adopts the traditional form. The door and window lattice and fan skirt are carved with flowers, ancient coins, birds and animals, as well as the calligraphy of literati of all ages, such as Wang Xizhi, Cai Xiang, Zhao Ziang, Dong Qichang, Wang Wenzhi, Weng Fanggang, Zheng Banqiao, Deng Shiru, Zeng Guofan and Li Gengen.

It is unique and harmonious in appearance, decoration, etc. it is full of the flavor of the times and has a unique style. In 1993, a small Chinese style building was built on the abandoned Xiafang site in the northeast corner of the curved corridor.
Historical evolution
Tianxiang Xiaozhu was the first Jin's residence in the financial industry in the early Republic of China. In 1920, it was owned by Su Qian, general of the army of the Beiyang government, and was called Su Zhuang. In 1933, it was rebuilt by Xi Qisun as a garden villa with Chinese and Western styles. During the period of Anti Japanese War, it was the official residence of Li Shiqun, the governor of puppet Jiangsu Province. Later, it was owned by Xu Pucheng, the commander of Wang puppet. After liberation, Tianxiang Xiaozhu was used by Suzhou party and government organs for a long time. It was destroyed during the cultural revolution and was repaired in 1979.
