Sufeng mountain is the main peak of Dongshan Island. "Dongshan County annals" contains: "Xijiang Xiahou this mountain does not reduce the Western Shu Emei Mountain, so it is named Sufeng mountain." Cai Chao went to Dongshan in 1526, the fifth year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty. According to the records of Tongshan, Cai Chao called this mountain the first Wenfeng in Zhangjun According to the summary of Fang Yu's reading history, Sufeng mountain is also called Dongshan mountain Dongshan Island is named after this mountain. Because Sufeng mountain is also called Chuanling mountain, Dongshan Island is also called Lingdao.

Dongshan Island, like a dancing butterfly, is known as "Butterfly Island". It is located in the southernmost part of Fujian Province, adjacent to Taiwan Strait in the East, across the sea from Taiwan; Zhao'an Bay in the west, just a water away from Zhao'an County; in the southeast, it is the intersection of Minnan fishing ground and Yuedong fishing ground; in the northwest, it borders Yunxiao County with Bachimen seawall, directly across the mainland; in the northeast, Dongshan Bay is adjacent to Gulei Peninsula in Zhangpu County. It is a Coastal Hilly platform with high terrain in the northwest and low terrain in the southeast. The southeast is a coastal plain with many low hills in the northwest. The highest Sufeng mountain is 274.3 meters above sea level.

The mountain is located in the east of Dongshan Island, near the old city of Tongshan. It is 274 meters above sea level and has a radius of more than 10 kilometers. There are 99 mountain peaks, 18 scenic spots, strange peaks and caves everywhere. According to the old records, Sufeng mountain is one of the eight scenic spots outside Dongshan Island, which is called "Suzhu Qingtian". Every time the clouds cover the peak, it is a sign of rain, which is called "Sushan daili". Tongshan is the hometown of Huang Daozhou, a scholar in the late Ming Dynasty. On the plaque of his former residence, the title is "Su Feng Gong Xiu". In 1935, the first middle school in Dongshan County was called Sufeng middle school.

Cultural relics

There are many historic sites in Sufeng mountain, most of which are related to the emperor min of Song Dynasty.

At the foot of the mountain is a well preserved "Tomb of Pan Muzhai, Song Si Li supervisor". The stele is 120 cm long and 55 cm wide. On the stele, it is engraved "rebuilt in Jiayue, the year of Jiashen, the first ancestor presented the tomb of Peng, the Duke pan of Chengxi, Wenlin Lang, and Peiyi, and granted the attached Tomb of pan, the male Si Li supervisor, and Sun Li." It is said that in the last years of the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhao Min, the young emperor, and Lu Xiufu, the prime minister, ran south here. The soldiers of the Yuan Dynasty marched to the foot of Sufeng mountain. Pan Muzhai of Qinying village led the villagers to fight against the soldiers of the Yuan Dynasty and protect the emperors and ministers of the Shao emperor. He was killed by the soldiers of the Yuan Dynasty. In recognition of his achievements, the young emperor granted pan Muzhai as the eunuch of rites.

There are 20 meters high columnar reefs in the sea at the foot of the mountain. The top of the column looks like a square chair. It is commonly known as "emperor seat". It is said that the young emperor once sat here. "Zhangzhou Prefecture annals", "Dongshan County annals" and "Tongshan annals" all contain: "it's said that when the Song Emperor min went to the south, he built the capital Nanao, which is Tokyo. After the collapse of the sea, the city battlements still exist, from the top of the mountain down to the sea, Mo poor its border. There are still wooden and bamboo ridges in the sea. The tide is receding and the wind is still calm. The people of the county drive boats to get what they want. "In the collection of Liuxi by Cai duanqing of the Ming Dynasty, there is a poem" Yongchuan mausoleum Palace: "the palace of the Emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty is on the side of a mirage. In today's haiyuqing, I suspect that there are thousands of officials. " It is confirmed that Zhao Min, the young emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty, built "Chuanling Palace" here.

There are still "mountain ridges" on Sufeng mountain. It's said that the young emperor had only a few hills and fields here. He sighed: "even if a grain can produce two grains of rice, it's not enough to eat." Later, two grains of rice were included in the grains grown on the mountain. There is a spring in the middle of the mountain, commonly known as "immortal navel". It is said that the little emperor once drank water to quench his thirst.

In addition, at the foot of Sufeng mountain, there is a hill pit with a concave topography like wengzi, commonly known as "wengdi pit", which is the site of modern Dongshan peasant uprising. On April 9, 1853, in Wulong Village of Dongshan, more than 200 peasants gathered in the pit to drink chicken blood and wine. They attacked Tongshan city and shocked Southern Fujian.

The peak of Su Feng is strange and has different caves. Although its name is vulgar, it can be in a poor state. It is said that there is a fairy boy bathing here. The spring water is clear and sweet, and does not dry up all the year round. "Pig mother live pig", big stone small stone listed, like sow born. "Big risk, small risk", cliff as high as one or two hundred meters, straight into the sea, surging waves, looking down, it is frightening. "Meixiaoniang cave" is a magical sea erosion cave, close to the sea, winding and strange, it is said to be the residence of Longnv. When people are in the cave, the atmosphere is gloomy, and the waves rush into the cave, either like the sound of golden drums, or like ten thousand horses galloping, deafening, so that people are afraid to stay for a long time, so there are few explorers. There are also three stone Avalokitesvara on the sunken cliff, which are similar to the Buddha statue of the great master Avalokitesvara. There is an old scenic spot of "monkey peeping at cattle" by the sea. It is a huge rock standing on the Bay like a well. A hurricane more than 60 years ago destroyed the site. In addition, there are "shiziwangqiu", "Beidao", "Shigui", "ploughhead stone", "chenshuiquan", "cowboy reef" and "Zhumu reef", all of which are named after pictographs.

On the summit, the sea is vast. On a sunny day, the light shines on gold and the sails and shadows come and go. When the typhoon arrives, the waves are startling, the reefs are breaking and the snow is blowing, the clouds are rushing to the sea, the sky and the earth are shaking, and Sufeng mountain is roaring, which makes people feel the infinite power from its struggle with the sea. In the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuqu wrote a poem named "Chuan Ling Ji AI", which said: "Wen Feng is beautiful in the sea, Kui Bi is bright in the river. This victory has been praised for thousands of years, and it is worthy of the name of Qi Huayue. Chen Shaohua's poem Su Zhu Qingtian in the Qing Dynasty says, "the sky is falling down to the south, and the situation is like tilting. Su Feng is the only one to hold it. It has been green for thousands of years, and spring is the best time to look at Zhongming."

Today, the mountains are luxuriant, and the foothills are covered with silica sand factories, glass factories, and ship breaking factories. With convenient transportation and shuttle vehicles, the ancient peaks are full of vitality and look younger and more beautiful.
