Stone Man Hall

The hall of stone man is located in the territory of stone man Township, 70 Li northwest of Shangrao County, Jiangxi Province. It was originally named Huzhao temple, also known as stone temple, stone temple and stone peak temple. It is named after its location under the stone man peak of Lingshan mountain. In 790, after Liu Taizhen and Li Desheng were worshipped, the temple was named Liu general temple and Li Zhenjun temple. In the second year of Xuanhe (1120) of the Song Dynasty, Yingwu hall was granted the title of Yingwu hall and Yingwu temple.

The original building of the stone hall has two main halls and one mountain gate. There are stone wells and stone balls in the hall. There is a Taoist temple on the left and a town hall branch on the right. In front of the gate of the mountain, there are the old Treasury, Lingshan Shenghui memorial archway and stele Pavilion. On the left side of the mountain gate is Wenchang Pavilion, under which is Chijian Pavilion. There is Wan'an bridge in front of the pavilion, Guanyin Pavilion in front of the bridge and ancient camphor behind the hall. The ancient trees in the temple are towering, and the temple is majestic. From the Ming Dynasty to the present, there have been several ups and downs. From the first day to the tenth day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar, the meeting period of the stone people's hall is held every year, especially on the first, third, sixth and ninth days. Cloud gauze clothing, mist skirt, smiling beauty lying for thousands of years. The 72 peaks of Lingshan mountain cluster into a show, which has been the 33rd blessed place of Taoism since ancient times. The mountain streams are quiet, the ancient trees are towering, and the Taoist temples are hidden. It is said that Ge Hong once made alchemy and emerged here, but the most famous stone man hall is not dedicated to ge Xian, but to Li laozhenjun.

Historical evolution

The stone man hall is located under the stone man peak of Lingshan mountain. Every year, the temple fair is held from the first to the tenth day of the ninth lunar month, and there is an endless stream of people here. From Shangrao, Yushan, Guangfeng, Hengfeng, Dexing, Leping and other places, there are many pilgrims who burn incense, make vows and pray for the Buddha's autograph. They also gather here, such as peddlers, jugglers, fortune tellers and beggars for alms. On the auspicious day of 369, it is a grand occasion. One of the great pleasures of temple fairs is the natural scenery of the stone admirer peak and the nearby Nantang peak, and the variety of commodities. However, the pious color of the worshipers and the leisurely smoke above the temple show that Lao Zhenjun Li is the real source of attracting visitors. During the Spring Festival, the bridge lanterns in gaonanfeng, Huatan mountain, Zhengfang, Shiren, Linhu and other places all go to the Shiren hall to "group lanterns" for a year's scenery.

Before the cultural revolution, there was an isolated stone at the top of shirenfeng, which looked like an old man sitting upright with his hands touching his knees, neck, shoulder, body and no head. There is a legend about the stone man: there is a dragon spirit hidden in the Lingshan mountain, who wants to turn Jiangxi into the sea. "Shixian master" was appointed by taishanglaojun and turned into a woodcutter to subdue him. Later, seeing Junxiu of Lingshan mountain, he settled here. He often played chess with Li laozhenjun and lost a lot. For a long time, the heart creates a gap. One day, Li laozhenjun said: "today's three sets are sure to win. If I lose, I'll cut my head. If you lose, all living beings will suffer three years of drought and flood." Li laozhenjun knows that Shi Xian has a "cloud hat" to call the wind and rain. If he lets it do harm, the consequences will be unimaginable. Shixian is not as good as Li laozhenjun. Li laozhenjun uses his sword to kill him. The next day, Shi Xianfu invited him to play chess and lost again. On the third day, Shi Xian invited him to play chess again. Day after day, every time you cut a head, you get a head. Mr. Li is worried that if things go on like this, it will bring disaster to the people one day. Guanyin know this, into a bird flying over the point: "cold water hot neck, winter grass cut it!" The stone immortal's head falls, does not resurrect, turns into a headless stone man. His head rolled to the northwest of the peak, blood stained firewood. Up to now, in late autumn, Changmao is dark red, leaving behind the saying that "eight sides of Lingshan, seven sides of treasure, one side without treasure, Changmao grass". In order to remember, people built a Guanyin Pavilion beside the stone man hall, and the stone man hall also got its name. (formerly known as "General Li temple.")
