Songgang Park

Songgang park is the largest park in Songgang street. The park is located next to Songgang people's Hospital and next to Metro Line 6 under construction, with a total area of 93.3 hectares. There are free parking spaces in the park, and security guards are on duty at all entrances and exits. Every morning and afternoon, people go to exercise. It's a good place to cool in summer. It's not commercialized. There are no entertainment facilities, public toilets, no greenway, and no cycling in the park.

The overall planning of the park makes use of the advantages of topography, with the help of plant landscaping, to preserve and restore the biodiversity of the natural ecology, focusing on ecology and leisure, taking into account healthy sports activities and other urban comprehensive parks, forming six ecological leisure scenic spots. The park is connected by primary main garden road, secondary Garden Road and Mountaineering Road to six scenic spots, namely, Ruilin Chengxiang, Xiaofeng tiying, Wanhe SONGFENG, Danshi Songyu, lotus pond and green ladder. According to the terrain, the overall layout of the park is leisure square, sparse forest and grassland, forest, etc.

The completion and opening of Songgang park has improved the living environment of Songgang and enriched the life of the residents, marking the new important achievements in the construction of "Northwest gateway" in Shenzhen and the qualitative improvement of the grade and level of Songgang city construction. Songgang street has no city park for a long time. Residents often go to Fuyong Fenghuang mountain or Dongguan Lianhua Mountain Park for leisure and fitness. With the great attention of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government and the strong support of the Baoan District Party committee and the district government, Songgang Street listed the construction of Songgang Park as an important part of learning and practicing the scientific outlook on development and the "Three Guarantees" work. The construction started at the end of December 2008 and opened in September the next year. Songgang Park focuses on the construction of ecological and leisure facilities, taking into account the needs of residents' recreational activities.
