Huangshanlu Forest Park is the largest free Forest Park in Guangzhou. It is located in the central city of Nansha District. It is named after the main peak of Huangshan Mountain and the main peak of Lushan Mountain. The whole forest park covers an area of more than 1200 hectares. The main peak is 295 meters above sea level. It is the highest peak in southern Guangzhou, overlooking the panoramic view of Nansha.

As Nansha is located in the geometric center of the Pearl River Delta, when the clouds are high and the sky is clear, you can see the whole picture of Nansha. Huangshanlu Forest Park is the ecological green core of the central urban area of Nansha District, covering an area of about 1200 hectares. It is a precious green resource in the city and the largest open forest park in Guangzhou. Its main peak is 295 meters above sea level. It is the highest peak in the south of Guangzhou. When you climb the peak, you can overlook Nansha and its surrounding areas. Baishui Lake scenic spot and peak (main peak) scenic spot are located in the central and southern part of the park, with a total area of about 40 hectares (600 mu).

According to the on-the-spot investigation by experts from South China Institute of endangered animals and plants, huangshanlu Forest Park is rich in wild animals and plants resources. 460 species of vascular plants have been found, including 434 species of wild plants, belonging to 284 genera of 106 families, and a national second-class protected plant, Aquilaria odorata; 41 species of birds, belonging to 19 families of 6 orders, among which iris, peregrine falcon and kestrel are national second-class protected animals, and egret is Ci There are 8 species of two victims and 14 species of reptiles, belonging to 7 families of lizards and snakes.

The bird density of huangshanlu Forest Park is the highest among all the forest parks in Guangzhou. According to experts, the birds in Huangshan Luliang Forest Park are resident birds rather than migratory birds. These birds take the good natural ecological environment of Huangshan Luliang as their habitat.

The whole forest park is divided into six functional areas, which are natural leisure walking area, forest oxygen bar health care area, cultural landscape browsing area, Baishui lake fishing area, golf area and forest adventure camping area. The coverage rate of biological vegetation is 99.9%.

Huangshanlu forest park not only has the Opium War Fort ruins, Jiuwang temple and other cultural landscapes, but also has beautiful natural landscapes such as lakes, contiguous ancient camphor forest and white catalpa forest. Huangshanlu is also a good place for mountaineering and leisure. The total length of roads in the park is 13 kilometers, including 11 kilometers of mountain access road and 2 kilometers of mountaineering walking path. People can walk to the highest peak of huangshanlu Forest Park, or ride bicycles on the Baishui Lake greenway to climb the 295 meter main peak in Shanghai, overlooking the panoramic view of Nansha and the magnificent picture of the lion ocean.

Huangshanlu Forest Park, with a forest coverage rate of 99.9%, is also a natural oxygen bar. It breeds abundant negative oxygen ions in mountains, forests, lakes, seas and wetlands, with an average value of 800 negative ions per cubic centimeter, and more than 1500 in sunny days after rain. According to the standard of 700 negative ions per cubic centimeter, which is beneficial to the health of the public, the air quality here meets the national class a standard. Baishui Lake

There is an original ecological lake called Baishui lake on the top of Huangshan Lu forest park. Cherry forest

Enter huangshanlu Forest Park and walk along Baishui lake. You will see a large cherry blossom in the southwest of the lake. This cherry blossom forest covers an area of 10000 square meters, with a number of nearly 1000 trees. Most of them are single petaled cherry trees. The petals of cherry trees vary from pink to pink. The shape of petals looks like a bell, and they are half open and drooping. The flowering period of cherry blossom is longer, about more than two months. The best time to enjoy cherry blossom is from the end of February to the beginning of March.

Safety tips

Driving up the mountain is allowed in the park. Pay attention to safety when you go sightseeing. You can go in from the west gate and out from the east gate. You can also visit Miaowang village and feel the living atmosphere of the local villagers.

By bus

(1) Dongmen: you can transfer to Nansha bus No.3 at Jiaomen subway station, get off at jiuwangmiao station and walk up the mountain; or you can take bus No.19 at Jinzhou subway station and get off at Nanbei station, cross the opposite road and walk for about 1km and walk up the mountain (this route is not recommended for people who are not familiar with Nanbei station).

(2) Ximen: starting from Panyu Shiqiao, you can take bus No. 141 at traffic building and other stations to Jinling middle road or Mingxing electronics factory station.

Transfer to Nansha bus No.1 or No.4 at Jiaomen subway station, or transfer to No.19 at Jinzhou subway station, and get off at Jinling middle road or Mingxing electronic factory station; or transfer to fan141, fan141b, nan49 at Huangge subway station and get off at Mingxing electronic factory station. Take nan61 at Nansha poly city and other stations to the west gate of Huangshan Lu forest park.

If you enter from the west gate, you can rent a bicycle on the greenway. The rent is 3 yuan per hour and the deposit is 300 yuan. You can return the car at other greenways in Nansha District.
