Development history
Mingshan is one of the three famous mountains. With its adjacent Jinshan and Dushan, it became the mythical source of creating the Three Mountain King Temple in Sui Dynasty. It is well-known on both sides of the Strait and can be called "the first cave in JieXi". According to the general annals of Guangdong in the Qing Dynasty, "Zhaoxian temple was built in Ximing mountain of Jieyang county (now Jiexi County) and Jiading middle of Song Dynasty (1208-1224). It is said that there are Yushi hiding here." In the autumn of 1472, the eighth year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty, the abbot huizhao raised money to build a temple, and the Buddhist hall began to take shape. On the first day of December in 1751, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, the Zhengtang Gu of Jieyang County accepted a petition from 12 people, such as Huang Yingyang, who was born on September 16. He claimed that his ancestor Yang had 12 mu of grain fields. Shiyan was used as the capital of sesame oil in 1679. In order to prevent it from being sold off, he had to ask for Leshi. Therefore, he set up the stele "customers in Lianming county approved the ban on Leshi". In 1787, Emperor Qianlong's fifty second year (1787), the master of Esoteric Buddhism was in charge of the temple. He wrote ten questions, repaired and expanded the temple, and made the temple more complete.
After 1950, the temple was abolished. On July 1, 1989, the CPC Jiexi County Committee approved the restoration and listed it as a cultural protection unit.
