Located in the East Pavilion of Mumian village, Shengang Town, Conghua City, Guangdong Province, Wuyue hall is a cultural relic protection unit announced by the people's Government of Guangdong Province. The concrete starting time is unknown, the wood structure and appearance are still well preserved, and the early building components and styles such as beam frame, bucket arch, column type, overhanging and bay still exist. In the hall, Taoist immortals are worshipped, including the five tiger generals in the myth "Fengshenbang": Wang Feihu, songkehu, wenpin, Cui Ying, Jiang Ping, as well as the water god Hongsheng, chegong, Taibao, land and other gods.
Structural features
Wuyue hall is located in the west to the East. The overall building is located on a granite stone platform with a low appearance. The main building is 11.7 meters deep in two rooms and 11.5 meters wide in three rooms. It is of brick, wood and stone structure and has a herringbone top.
The first entrance to the stone gate is engraved with the inscription "Wukou hall", which is inscribed with the inscription "Guangxu's second year, Gengyin's mid autumn auspicious day reconstruction" (1890 A.D.). The first nine beams were lifted, two wooden columns were erected in front and back to bear the load, and the moon beam and the bottom of the beam were replaced by sparrows. The bucket arch is made of thick materials and the hump is carved with cirrus. The column is a wooden round shuttle column with a granite column base. The shuttle column of Tiao Fang passes through the wall again, and the purlin of two jump arch eaves is constructed below, and all the purlins are logs.
The second entrance is 6.2m wide and 6.2m deep. It is a beam lifting frame with 11 beams. Four wooden columns are erected at the front and back to bear the load. The moon beam and shuttle column are of different diameters. The front eaves have soft cantilevers and the lower socket arch. The angle between the first beam and the column is buttressed, and the bottom of the second and third beams is replaced by sparrow. The hump is carved with cirrus, a bucket with three arches, a column head bucket, a round purlin, and an inscription on the back of the purlin: "when the Ming Dynasty was Chenghua, Lu Niannian was second to Gengyin, December was the first day, and the new moon was the seventh day, Gengshen was rebuilt in the auspicious morning" (i.e. 1470 A.D.). After the eaves for the pick Fang, after two wooden columns, and then through the wall eaves purlin, for hard pick.
There is also a two-way building behind the Wuyue hall, which is a subsidiary building of the Wuyue hall and a place for stacking ritual vessels and sacrifices used in the hall.
