synonym
Hongshan Bridge (Fuzhou bridge in Fujian Province) generally refers to Fuzhou Hongshan Bridge
Hongshan Bridge is located in the western suburb of Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, across the north port of Minjiang River. It is the largest prestressed concrete truss T-shaped rigid frame bridge in China. The most important feature of this bridge is that the main bridge adopts deck prestressed concrete truss T-frame, with hanging beams between the t-frames. The self weight of the truss is light, the wind resistance is small, and the material consumption is low. It has considerable advantages in the selection of bridge type in typhoon areas.
brief introduction
Hongshan Bridge is located in Hongshan Town, the western suburb of Fuzhou City, across both sides of the north port of Minjiang River, connecting Gulou District and Jinshan Industrial Park of Cangshan District. There used to be a stone bridge 1 km downstream, which was destroyed by many floods. In 1578, it was moved to the upstream and rebuilt. In 1608, the bridge was destroyed and rebuilt. Because of the narrow and small bridge openings, one pier of one opening on the West Bank was demolished and the span was enlarged to facilitate the discharge of water and navigation. In Qing Dynasty, it was repaired and rebuilt many times. In the 37th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty (1770), the piers were all built with big stones and made into water dividing points. The upper part was made of stone beams and slabs with stone railings on both sides. The bridge was completed in the 40th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty (1773). The bridge is 394.5m long and 3.8m wide. In 1954, it was changed to reinforced concrete bridge deck. The bridge was destroyed by floods in the 1970s. The new Hongshan Bridge was built in 1985, but the old one was abandoned.
