Xingye Wenta, also known as Shiyi Wenta, is located on Shiyi mountain in the west of Xingye County, Yulin City, Guangxi Province. The ancient pagoda is the most famous ancient building in Xingye county. It is one of the key cultural relics protection units in Yulin city.

This ancient pagoda is built on the top of Shiyi mountain. It is a hollow octagonal brick Pagoda with dense eaves. The door is open on eight sides and has seven levels. It has overlapping eaves and a gourd shaped top. It is as thin as a cone and has a height of 22 meters.

The inside of the tower is hollow. To climb the tower, you need to walk along the outer eaves of the second tower on the first floor. After eight tower doors, you can enter the tower and go up layer by layer. You need to stand outside the eaves of the tower to view the scenery on the tower without any barriers. You can have a panoramic view by leaning against the tower.

To the East is the people's Square, and the Shiyi river flows around the tower. In the West there is a swimming pool, a teahouse and a thousand hectares of fertile land. To the south are several new buildings and an old western style house with black tiles and white walls (Medical Research Society in the Republic of China). To the north of the tower is Xingye middle school. The campus is full of trees.

history

According to historical records, shiyiwen pagoda was built in JINGDING period of Southern Song Dynasty, rebuilt in 1482, destroyed in 1660 and rebuilt in 1747.

When the pagoda was built, Xingye county was located in the old county village of today's Kuiyang Town, and Shiyi mountain was located in the northeast of the county. The purpose of building the pagoda was to sacrifice the gods of the north. The county government of the Qing Dynasty was located in the No.1 Middle School of Shinan Town, and the pagoda was located in the southwest of the county government.

The pagoda was destroyed and built. It is said that it was related to the geomantic omen of Canyu, in order to prosper the culture and promote the development of schools, which is conducive to the emergence of talents in large numbers. Feng Gaowan, an attached student of the Qing Dynasty, once wrote a poem to Shi Yiwen Pagoda: "a branch of writing is inserted in the west of the city, showing its high point and keeping pace with the sky. On that day, mengke opened Xiangjun, and the military affairs were not carried The ancient pagoda has been preserved until now. It stands surrounded by modern buildings and is integrated with it. It is antique and its guard is beside Xingye high school. It shows and inspires the students on campus day and night.

Then you can go up the second tower by the buttress ladder layer by layer. You need to stand outside the eaves to view the scenery on the tower. If you don't have a handrail, you don't dare to climb it. It is said that the infinite scenery is at the dangerous peak.

Even if you only climb the third or fourth floor of the tower, you can enjoy thousands of views from the tower. If you can get to the top of the tower, you will be more relaxed and happy.
