Fanlu Township
Fanlu township is located in the east of Jiayi City, connecting the Alishan mountains. It is named Fanlu Township because it is located on the main road leading to the Alishan Aborigines (Zou nationality). The total land area is 117.5 square kilometers, with an altitude of 300-1500m.
brief introduction
Fanlu Township, now 159A County Road, used to be an ancient road for people to walk down the mountain with their prey on their back and trade with Han people. Now it has become a two-way road paved with asphalt. On both sides of the road, persimmon forests are planted all over the mountain. Every autumn, the whole mountain is dyed red, and the yield is the highest in Taiwan. The indoor dust-free drying technique of persimmon initiated by the farmers' Association of Fanlu township has made Fanlu the hometown of red persimmon. Persimmon is red in autumn and culture spreads in Fanlu township.
Interestingly, today, the main road to Alishan, the Alishan highway on the 18th line of Taiwan, also passes through Fanlu township. From west to East, after passing through the long and narrow bottleneck like plain, it comes to the junction of mountains and forests at the beginning of contact. Then it suddenly comes up the mountain like a peach blossom land. However, it was not until after passing the stone table and entering the neighboring Alishan township that the trail of Zou tribe gradually appeared on both sides of the road. Before that, most of the Han people along the way were still making a living here. The overlapping tea gardens covered the whole mountain, pushing the reputation of Alishan tea to the peak.

Pink, purple and white, the second spring of Fanlu.
