Jinxiu Chinese folk village itself is composed of Jinxiu China and Chinese folk village. Now the two parks have been merged.

Development history

When it comes to Splendid China, we have to mention Ma Zhimin, the former general manager of CTS group in Hong Kong. Ma Zhimin, known as the "father of China's theme park", was inspired by the Dutch "madurordam" Lilliputian during his European tour and had the idea of building a splendid China in Shenzhen. It was a very bold idea at that time to display China's famous mountains and rivers and cultural relics in the form of miniature models in the "Splendid China" theme park. In 1989, splendid China successfully opened its business, which not only makes a small fishing village in Shenzhen, which has no tourism resources, become a very attractive tourism city in China, but also the first real large theme park in China. In 1990, the net profit of Jinxiu Zhonghua reached 56 million yuan, receiving more than 3 million tourists, and all the investment was recovered in that year.

In order to truly reproduce the style and artistic value of the original landscape, "Splendid China" invited the cultural relic research department where the original scenery is located, as well as hundreds of famous ancient architecture experts, sculpture artists and landscape technology experts to be consultants or personally participate in the creation in the process of the preparation for the construction. At that time, more than 2000 engineering and technical personnel from more than 20 provinces, cities and autonomous regions went to Shenzhen to create sculptures. These scenic spots have their unique artistic features in terms of artistic conception, architectural style and characterization, which is the crystallization of the wisdom and talent of more than 2000 experts, scholars and engineering technicians.

Most of the scenic spots and natural landscapes in splendid China are 1:15, some are 1:10 or 1:8, the largest is 1:1 (two caves in Mogao Grottoes), while the international scale is generally 1:25. Therefore, the scenic spots of Splendid China are relatively large. The scenic spots of "Splendid China" are all arranged according to its position in the territory of China. The scenic spots of the whole park are arranged scientifically according to the territory of the motherland. When tourists visit "Splendid China", they feel like walking on the huge map of China.
