National Open University

The Open University of China (English: the Open University of China) is a world-class public adult university, founded on June 21, 2012, directly under the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and a national key university. Supported by modern information technology, the open university is a new type of university that implements distance and open education with both academic education and non academic education. The university is established on the basis of China Central Radio and Television University. In 1979, the Central Radio and Television University and 28 Local Radio and television universities began to run schools, opening a new chapter in the development of Distance Open Education in China. In June 2012, in order to meet the development needs of the new century, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of the National Open University on the basis of the Central Radio and Television University.

On July 31, 2012, the National Open University was officially inaugurated in the Great Hall of the people. According to the relevant provisions of the higher education law, the outline of the national medium and long term education reform and development plan (2010-2020), the notice of the general office of the State Council on carrying out the pilot reform of the national education system (GBF No. 48), and the results of expert investigation and evaluation, it is agreed to establish the National Open University on the basis of the Central Radio and Television University Code 51161. 1、 National Open University is a new type of university directly under the Ministry of education, which is supported by modern information technology and mainly for adults to carry out distance open education.

2、 National Open University adheres to both non academic continuing education and academic continuing education. Schools should build learning resources based on curriculum, make full use of high-quality educational resources in Colleges and universities, and promote the co construction and sharing of learning resources. Actively promote the construction of "credit bank", through the establishment of mutual recognition of learning achievements and credit accumulation and conversion system, explore the construction of lifelong learning "Overpass".

3、 The National Open University may set up undergraduate majors in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Ministry of education. The first batch of undergraduate majors is 19.

4、 The state open university may confer a bachelor's degree. The procedure is that the University shall submit an application to the Beijing Municipal Academic Degrees Committee and report it to the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council for the record after it is approved.

5、 The name of China Central Radio and Television University is reserved for the time being.

6、 Within 2 months after the approval document is printed and issued, the school charter shall be submitted to the Ministry of education, and the Ministry of education shall timely evaluate the school running and reform.
