Dalian campus of Lu Xun Academy of fine arts is located in Jinshitan, Jinzhou District, Dalian City, covering an area of 382800 square meters. There are art museum, library, main teaching building and other buildings in the campus, with complete supporting facilities.

The existing teaching units in Dalian campus are: School of visual communication design, School of media animation, Department of Arts and crafts, digital media art teaching department, Lumei International College of culture and fashion, College of humanities, Department of dyeing and weaving clothing art and design (Dalian campus), Sino British digital media art academy, with 9 Majors: visual communication design, animation, arts and crafts, digital media art and clothing Fashion and clothing design (Sino Japanese cooperation), digital media art (Sino British cooperation), drama, film and television art design, fiber art, art design. Campus overview

The Dalian campus of Lu Xun Academy of fine arts was established with the approval of Liaoning Provincial People's government, and its management mode is the same as Shenyang campus, which is a public system. In 2007, 1150 undergraduates of art and design were enrolled in the first batch, and in 2008, 1003 undergraduates were enrolled in the second batch. In 2019, the campus has nearly 4000 students

The campus is located in Jinshitan national tourist resort, Jinzhou District, Dalian city. It is the first national seaside tourist resort approved by the Chinese government and is located on the shore of the Yellow Sea in the northeast of Dalian city. The land area is 62 square kilometers, the sea area is 58 square kilometers, and the coastline is 30 kilometers long. It is composed of the eastern Peninsula, the western peninsula, the open hinterland between the two peninsulas and the bathing beach. It is the most ideal seaside resort in northern China.

The campus covers a total area of 382000 square meters, with a planned building area of 200000 square meters, including 150000 square meters of teaching area. Architecture and planning design is a plan of German architecture firm Auer Weber, which is produced by international bidding. According to the superior natural ecological environment of Jinshitan area, the planning concept of "city in the garden" is put forward. It echoes with the planning concept of "garden in the city" of Shenyang campus.

The campus is 50km away from the center of Dalian, and the light rail can directly reach the campus (Jinshitan station) from the front of the railway station.

Founded in 2007, the major has developed into two levels of education and teaching: undergraduate and postgraduate. This major adheres to the teaching concept of "developing personality, advocating innovation and paying attention to practice", and highlights students' application and innovation ability of inheriting traditional crafts and integrating modern skills. At present, there are six undergraduate professional directions: glass art, three-dimensional lacquer art, ceramic art, metal jewelry, comprehensive lacquer art, and comprehensive printing. Animation major was established in 2003 and approved by the Ministry of education in 2010. It is one of the earliest majors engaged in animation, digital media art, game design and network multimedia teaching and research in China. Teachers and students' works have won many famous awards at home and abroad. It was rated as the characteristic specialty construction point of the Ministry of education and the key supporting specialty of Liaoning Province.

The professional teacher team consists of 61 teachers with 19 senior professional titles, 35 intermediate professional titles and 5 junior professional titles. The overall structure meets the needs of talent training and provides fundamental guarantee for the teaching of animation major. The major has been adhering to the teaching concept of "integration and sharing" and "Pan animation" and "big design", aiming at cultivating senior art talents with creative, R & D and design abilities in the field of animation and multimedia. The combination of classroom and practice will form a double track system of teaching studio and teaching laboratory (Center) in line with the international advanced higher art education.
