Historical evolution

In July 2002, Anhui Foreign Language Vocational and technical college was established with the approval of Anhui Provincial People's government, ending the history of Anhui Province without an independent foreign language college.

As of May 2013, the majors of English, Japanese, customs declaration, international freight and hotel management set up by the school have been rated as provincial characteristic majors. Anhui Institute of foreign languages and La Trobe University of Australia jointly run the school. Students who have studied in China and Australia for two years and have completed all courses and passed the examination will receive a bachelor's degree from La Trobe University.
