Xiong Chengji's former residence is located at No.6 weijiajing, a historical district of Shuangdong in Yangzhou, which is a municipal cultural relic protection unit. The former residence covers an area of more than 280 square meters, with three buildings in front and back. It is a "conjoined" courtyard with green bricks and small tiles, showing a typical Yang style.

There is a "exhibition hall of Xiong Chengji's life and historical materials" in his former residence. The exhibition area of the exhibition hall is nearly 170 square meters. The pictures, words and objects displayed in the exhibition reproduce the historical scenes of Xiong Chengji's service to the country, Anqing uprising, heroic sacrifice and glory for thousands of years. Among them, Xiong Chengji's confession in prison: "if I die early today, the tree of freedom will get blood early; if I get blood early, it will flourish early, and the flower will release early." As well as Xiong Chengji's Zhuang language before his execution: "this life is over. I'm dying. I wish China's prosperity and strength will advance day by day, and the common people will die. " Magnificent mountains and rivers, famous forever.
Xiong Chengji (1887-1910), a pioneer of the 1911 Revolution, was born in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. He was an outstanding revolutionist in modern Chinese history. In 1910, he was arrested for informer and died in Jilin. He was only 23 years old. In 1912, Xiong Chengji's coffin was transported back to his hometown Yangzhou for burial.
