Historical development
China Women's Vocational School
In July 1949, the all China Democratic women's Federation officially took over the Beiping women's vocational school in Hebei Province. On August 15, with the approval of the eighth Standing Committee of the all China Democratic women's Federation, it was renamed new China Women's vocational school.
In July 1950, all 400 students completed their studies and went to work under the organization of the North China Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
In July 1950, the new China Women's vocational school was renamed the women's Cadre School of the all China Democratic women's Federation, which became the training base for women cadres and women talents of the all China Democratic women's Federation.
In March 1961, according to the decision made by the CPC Central Committee in 1960 to streamline the organization, the Secretariat of the all China Women's Federation decided to close down the women's cadre school.
In September 1978, Kang Keqing proposed to restore the women's cadre school at the fourth national women's Congress, and the Party group of all China Women's Federation established the preparatory group for the restoration of the women's cadre school.
In March 1979, the school began.
China Women MANAGEMENT CADRE COLLEGE
In August 1987, the University changed its name to China Women's management cadre college. It began to recruit female students from all walks of life in China, and held academic education and non academic education at the same time.
In June 1991, after the evaluation by the evaluation team of Beijing adult colleges and universities, the university successfully entered the ranks of A-level colleges and universities.
In January 1993, the 100th anniversary of Song Qingling's birth and the foundation laying ceremony of China Women's college were held. The "China Women's college project" was listed on the agenda of the Chinese Organizing Committee of the fourth World Conference on women.
China Women's College
In August 1995, with the approval of the State Education Commission, the University changed its name to "China Women's College", which can be used as an adult college to recruit ordinary high school graduates, and become a school where adult higher education coexists with ordinary higher education. In December, the school moved from Di'anmen to No.1 Yuhui East Road, Chaoyang District. There are six departments: social work management department, preschool education management department, law department, secretary department, economic management department and foreign language department.
In February 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of education, the University was transformed into an ordinary undergraduate college, mainly to implement undergraduate education, and at the same time to hold higher vocational education at the junior college level.
In April 2003, the University was approved as a bachelor's degree awarding unit after investigation and deliberation by the expert group of the Ministry of education.
In November 2005, the university accepted the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of education.
In 2006, the university successfully passed the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of education.
In September 2007, the University signed an agreement with Northeast Normal University to jointly train postgraduates in social work, women's studies, accounting, law and preschool education.
In March 2011, the school established the Council of China Women's college to improve the school's governance structure and explore the establishment of a long-term mechanism for social support and supervision of school development.
In 2012, the University was approved as the pilot unit of social work master degree training of "talent training project for serving the special needs of the country".
In May 2013, the school was identified as the first batch of social work professional training base of the Ministry of civil affairs.
In September 2017, one belt, one road national training base project in Beijing was approved.
