Wanglang National Nature Reserve was established in 1965. It is one of the first four nature reserves in China to protect the giant panda and other rare wild animals and their habitats. Located in the Himalayan Hengduan Mountain area, one of the core areas of global biodiversity, it maintains a complete natural ecosystem, and its originality, diversity, rarity and representativeness are well-known at home and abroad. The area is rich in biodiversity, including 7 species of national first-class protected animals, including giant panda, golden monkey and takin. This area is an important corridor for giant panda habitat and a hub connecting the giant panda population in Minshan Mountain. The plant composition is complex and has an ancient origin. There are many kinds of traditional Chinese medicine, ornamental flowers and forest vegetables. The primeval forest in Wanglang Nature Reserve is the most intact one in Northwest Sichuan. The thick fir, spruce and Sequoia point to the cloud sky. There are four seasons in the area. The clean air, streams and obvious vertical plant spectrum make people forget to return. It is cool in summer, with an average temperature of 12.7 ℃. It is a good place to spend summer, watch flowers, and taste forest vegetables. In autumn, the mountains are covered with red leaves, and the forests are dyed. The scenery is magnificent. In winter, you can enjoy the snow and watch wild animals. There is an ancient and unique Baima nationality living around Wang Lang, whose language, customs, history and culture are different from any other nationalities, and retains the primitive and simple cultural tradition. Together with Wang Lang's natural scenery, it constitutes a unique eco-tourism scenic spot. The tourism project of Wanglang National Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province is supported by WWF from the aspects of capital, technology and experts. It is a real ecotourism for the purpose of protection and implements the reservation system. Ecotourism infrastructure and equipment have begun to take shape, with the reception capacity of 50 people. Tourism products and tourism routes have been formed. It is striving to get the certification of international ecotourism certification institutions, and become the first ecotourism scenic spot in China to be internationally certified.
