Historical evolution

The predecessor of Dongjiao memory is Chengdu state-owned Hongguang electron tube factory (code 773 factory, box 106), which was founded in 1950s.

In 2009, Chengdu used the former site of Chengdu Hongguang electron tube factory in the old industrial zone in the eastern suburbs to retain some factory areas with distinctive industrial characteristics as industrial civilization sites, and combined with cultural and creative industries to build a music industry base.

In May 2009, Chengdu Media Group signed a contract with China Mobile Communications Sichuan Co., Ltd., and China Mobile Wireless Music base was settled in the eastern suburb of memory.

At the end of 2010, the eastern suburb memory reconstruction project started construction. In order to completely retain the characteristics of industrial buildings in the planned economy era, and transform various complex structures of plants into commercial buildings, the project hired Liu Jiakun, a well-known domestic designer, as the chief designer of the project, and gathered well-known domestic architects to carry out special design for some single buildings in the park.

On September 29, 2011, eastern suburb memory officially opened.

On November 1, 2012, Chengdu East District music Park was officially upgraded and renamed as eastern suburb memory.
