Woniupaozi
Wo Niu paozi is also known as Wo Niu Tianchi and Tongxin Tianchi. It is located 1.5km north of Chaihe Town, Zhalantun City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The water surface elevation is 610m. The lake is pear shaped, 1.5km long from east to west, 1km wide from north to south, 3-8m deep, with an area of 0.883km2.
Introduction to lakes
Wo Niu paozi is also known as Wo Niu Tianchi and Tongxin Tianchi. It is located 1.5km north of Chaihe Town, Zhalantun City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The water surface elevation is 610m. The lake is pear shaped, 1.5km long from east to west, 1km wide from north to south, 3-8m deep, with an area of 0.883km2. There are two springs on the southeast side of the lake. In winter, the water near the springs is not frozen. The water temperature is about 14 ℃ all the year round, and there is a strong pungent sulfur smell. There are many springs upwelling under the lakeside karst block, forming bubbles. A stream flows into the lake from the north and flows out from the south into the chuoer river.
Woniupaozi is a low level Crater Lake (Maar Lake). Woniupaozi has experienced three different types of volcanic eruptions: stonebury, Maar and Hawaiian, which is of great significance for volcanic research.

The lake bank is surrounded by mountains. The mountains on the East and west sides of the volcanic lake are steep, with different rock shapes. It looks like a strong buffalo lying on the East Bank of Tianchi Lake, so it is also called woniupaozi.

Woniupaozi lake is close to heart-shaped, so it is also called Tongxin Tianchi.
