Xikeqin thousand Buddha cave, also known as "Seven Star House", is 30 kilometers southwest of Yanqi county. "Mingwu" means qianjianfang in Uyghur. Now there is only one temple site in Tang Dynasty, which is one of the original "Jialan (Buddhist temple)". Xikeqin thousand Buddha cave site consists of three parts: NANDA temple, Beida temple, and the thousand Buddha cave Grottoes not far from the temple.

Archaeologists found many clay Buddha heads in nandasi and Beida temples. The Buddha head unearthed from NANDA temple has fine eyebrows, high nose, round face and Gandhara style. It is a work of the 6th-7th century. The Buddha head of Beida temple is painted with willow eyebrows and square face, which shows Oriental aesthetic taste. It is estimated that it is a statue of the 8th-9th century. Xikeqin thousand Buddha cave site is close to the highway, and there is a clear spring flowing northward in the central depression of the temple site.

The site of xikeqin thousand Buddha cave mural is about 30 kilometers southwest of Yanqi Hui Autonomous County, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. It is the temple site of Tang Dynasty, also known as "Qige Xingming house".

In the southeast, there are more than 90 buildings with murals and statues. About half a kilometer to the northwest, there are 12 grottoes, in which there are caissons in the form of Tang Dynasty. The image of Qilin is realistic. Most of the murals have been destroyed, but the murals in cave 1 and 2 are still alive. The figures in the picture are vivid in meaning, beautiful in scenery, fluent and vigorous in writing, which is left by the people of Southern Song Dynasty. Its structure is influenced by the painting methods of Northern Song Dynasty and Jin Dynasty, and has some characteristics of literati painting. The characters' clothing patterns are skillful, and the lines of flowers, bamboo and stone are refined, especially the appearance of plum blossom, bamboo and stone as a single picture, which is extremely rare in the previous murals
