Xuanhua School of Geology (1953-1971)
In 1953, Li Siguang, an older geologist, and he Changgong, a revolutionary, selected Xuanhua, an ancient city outside the Great Wall, and established Xuanhua School of geology of the Ministry of geology of the Central People's government, one of the five institutions directly under the leadership of the Ministry of geology.
In 1954, the leadership of the North China Geological Bureau was changed to the direct leadership of the Ministry of geology.
In 1955, the legal name of the school was changed from "Xuanhua Geological School of the Ministry of geology of the Central People's government" to "Xuanhua Geological School of the Ministry of Geology". The school has set up a major in mineral geology and exploration, as well as 13 disciplinary committees on politics, Chinese, mathematics, physics, chemistry, physical education, cartography, engineering mechanics, surveying, minerals, rocks, general geology and exploration technology.
In 1956, the major of hydrogeology was renamed hydrogeology and engineering geology. With the approval of the Ministry of geology, the original mineral resources professional section and hydro geophysical professional section were cancelled. There are three professional departments, namely, geology, geophysical prospecting and accounting.
In 1957, the school formed 18 discipline committees including physical education, mathematics, Chinese, politics, chemistry, physics, cartography, engineering mechanics, exploration technology, general geology, structural deposit, engineering geology, special hydrogeology, architectural engineering and geomorphology, general hydrology and hydraulics, accounting of geological institutions, principles of statistics, national economy and political economy, and added statistics Professional.
In 1960, two specialties of petroleum and natural gas geological exploration and exploration machinery were added, and a correspondence department was established.
In 1961, the major of exploration machinery was withdrawn.
In 1962, the major of petroleum and natural gas geological exploration (hereinafter referred to as petroleum major) was abolished, and three majors of mineral geological exploration (hereinafter referred to as mineral geology major), hydrogeology and engineering geology, and accounting and Statistics (hereinafter referred to as accounting and accounting major) were left; Correspondence Education was suspended.
In 1965, it was under the leadership of the Geological Bureau of Hebei Province.
In 1970, the name of the school was changed to "Xuanhua Geological School of Hebei Province".
In 1971, Hebei Institute of Geosciences was established. The Institute was mainly under the provincial management, and the party relationship was subordinate to the municipal Party committee where the Institute was located.
Hebei Institute of Geology (1971-april 1996)
In 1972, the college established the Department of geological economy and management, with two majors of Planning Statistics and financial accounting, which are oriented to the whole country.
In 1973, the former political teaching and research group was changed into Marxism Leninism teaching and research section.
In 1974, the Department of exploration engineering was established, and Isotope Laboratory (mainly potassium argon method), differential thermal analysis laboratory, X-ray diffraction laboratory, sporopollen laboratory and electric simulation laboratory were established. Later, Isotope Laboratory developed into carbon isotope and carbon 14 laboratory, inclusion temperature measurement laboratory and Spectrum Laboratory, and gradually formed a comprehensive testing laboratory (or testing center).
In 1976, seismology was added to the college.
In 1977, the Department of rock and mineral analysis was established, and it was abolished in 1980.
In 1978, it was changed to implement the dual leadership of the General Administration of Geology and Hebei Province, with the General Administration of geology as the main body.
In 1979, four research laboratories were established. They are Yanshan complex geology research office, hydrogeology and engineering geology research office, hydrogeology and geophysical exploration research office and geological economy research office.
In 1981, the major of geological economic management in the Department of geological economic management was divided into geological financial accounting and geological Planning Statistics.
In 1982, the college set up a moral education teaching and research section, and the Department of exploration engineering was abolished.
In 1984, the major of hydrology was changed into the major of hydrogeology and engineering geology, and the Department of hydrology was changed into the Department of hydrogeology and engineering geology (Department of Hydrology).
In 1985, the Ministry of Geology and mineral resources decided to move Hebei Institute of geology to Shijiazhuang.
In 1986, the Party committee of the Institute formally defined the eight words of "diligence, realism, unity and innovation" as the school spirit; it began to recruit postgraduates with master's degree, and cultivated 15 research directions in three categories, six majors, including geology, hydrogeology and engineering geology, economy and management.
In 1987, the Research Office of geological economy was upgraded to the Research Institute of geological economy.
In 1988, the "Institute of metallogeny and prospecting methods for prediction" was officially established, and higher correspondence education was held.
In 1989, 89 freshmen held the opening ceremony in the new school.
Shijiazhuang University of Economics (May 1996 February 2016)
In 1996, Hebei Institute of geology changed its name to Shijiazhuang Institute of economics; the Department of resources science and technology and the Department of environment and engineering were abolished; the Department of resources and environment engineering and the Department of information engineering were established; and the physical education teaching and research section of the former educational administration office was upgraded to the Teaching Department of physical education.
In 1998, our college was qualified in the undergraduate teaching evaluation organized by the Ministry of education.
In 2000, the school management system changed from the Ministry of land and resources management to the central and local co construction, with Hebei Province as the main management.
In 2001, the center of modern educational technology and the Institute of modern management were established. Professor Du Rulin, a stratigraphic paleontologist and Precambrian geologist of our institute, won the seventh Li Siguang Geological Science Award.
