Hou Wang Temple
Hou Wang Temple, also known as Yang Hou Temple, is one of the Chinese folk beliefs. According to the historical facts of the Southern Song Dynasty, it is verified that "King Hou" is called "Yang Liangjie". He is the uncle and loyal minister of the Southern Song Dynasty. He was granted "King Hou" before he died and "King" after he died, so he is called "King Hou".
Historical records
The inscription in Yanghou ancient temple says: "the worshiper of Yanghou ancient temple is Yang Liangjie, a loyal minister in the late Song Dynasty. The emperor of song chased the soldiers of Yuan Dynasty. As for Haiyu Jiulong, who was stationed in Dayao, Lantau, he escorted and defended the army of Yuan Dynasty. Yang Houying's army was still planning strategies for pangwu, but the strong enemy was ill. Unfortunately, he died of medicine and stone. Jiulong was buried in the west of the city. After his death, he was granted the title of King Qigong, the name of his country is cherished in history In order to honor their merits, they built a temple to offer sacrifices and shelter themselves on the sixth day of the sixth lunar month.
