Textual research on Culture
Why is this building called "nine days Ying yuan mansion" instead of "Lei Temple"? According to the textual research, it contains many hidden meanings
1. Nine is the extreme number of Yang. It's also big and heaven is the highest. There are five thunders in Lei's name. The name of the hall is "nine heaven Ying Yuan Fu". It can be implicitly referred to as "the Lord of nine and five, the son of heaven". He also lived in the south, with a number of nine. According to the natural mountain, it is at the highest place, which also contains the meaning of "nine to five" and "nine to one".
2. Jiutian: when it comes to the central government and the eight sides, it also refers to the imperial palace or the ten thousand states of Kyushu Island. It is said that heaven has nine weights, among which the upper heaven is the highest. It is the residence of the Jade Emperor. The emperor of heaven governs the nine gods, and the nine gods manage the world according to their duties. Here is the hidden nine heaven, and the house of the Yuan Dynasty has the honor of the emperor of heaven.
3. It is called "Jiufu" and extended to the palace, which is not a temple but a symbol of the government.
For example, "nine temples" refers to the places where the emperors of the past dynasties worshipped their ancestors for patriarchal rule, and also refers to the feudal dynasties.
4. Jiutian YingYuan mansion is read from left to right, that is, the inverted sentence is read as "Fu Yuan Yingtian Jiu". Yuan has the original meaning, and the number of yuan is one. It implies that Zhu Yuanzhang's name taboo "Yuan" and "Ying Tianfu", the capital of Nanjing in Ming Dynasty. Yingtian was called Songzhou in the early Northern Song Dynasty. It was promoted to yingtianfu in 1006 and Nanjing in 1014. In 1356 (the 16th year of Zhizheng), Zhu Yuanzhang conquered Jiqing and changed Jiqing road to yingtianfu. As a base, Zhu Yuanzhang called himself the Duke of Wu. On January 4, 1368, the first year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang proclaimed himself Emperor in Yingtian and established the Daming Dynasty, which was called Ming Dynasty and was the Taizu of Ming Dynasty. With yingtianfu as Nanjing, the capital, Kaifeng as Beijing, the capital. In 1378, Beijing was destroyed and Nanjing became the capital. In 1421, Zhu Di moved his capital to Beijing. In 1441, Yingzong Zhuqi town designated Yingtian as Nanjing. This is the place where thunder god lived, which symbolizes that Zhu Yuanzhang set the capital of Yingtian mansion in Nanjing in the early Ming Dynasty. He hoped to use the special symbols he had enjoyed and experienced as burial objects in order to continue to enjoy them in another world. Therefore, the name of the temple is not only simple but complicated. Therefore, Jiutian YingYuan mansion was set in the south of ligua to symbolize Nanjing.
5. The God of thunder has the authority of goodness and integrity, relieving calamities and punishing evils. "YingYuan" means to return to the original. It implies that by the power of the God of thunder, death is like life, inherited from Taizu, thunder is in the world.
Jiutianyingyuan mansion is connected with Tianyi pool and Longhu hall along the north-south axis, which forms the supreme King pattern of heaven, earth and man, that is, the unity of heaven and man. It is an indispensable part of the overall architectural layout of Taoism in Sanqing mountain in Ming Dynasty.
