Located in Caixi township (formerly Xiangxi township), Xianyou County, Putian City, Fujian Province, it is one of the "four famous sceneries of Xianyou". Caixiyan provincial scenic spot is located at the southeast foot of Daiyun mountain in Fujian Province, 42 km away from Xianyou County, Putian City, Fujian Province, in Caixi township (original Xiangxi Township, Provincial Ecological Demonstration township). The scenic area covers an area of 35 square kilometers, with an average altitude of 755 meters. Tiejian mountain has a sea level of 1395 meters. The annual average temperature is 17.2 degrees. In the north of the scenic spot, there is a rare "Snow Mountain" scene in the south of China.

Historical evolution

It is said that Cheng Wuge, a talented man in Xinghua, often traveled to Caixi and wrote poems. Once, an imperial envoy visited Caixiyan in his spare time. On the way, I saw bean sprouts breaking through the soil in the field, and I wrote a couplet with the title of "soybeans unearthed, hands worshipping the sky and bearing the rain and dew". I couldn't think of the next couplet for a long time. Five elder brothers are nearby, looking at the mushroom stone, and they say in a loud voice, "the red mushroom is wearing a hat, and one foot touches the ground and is affected by the wind and frost." The imperial envoy looked up at Caixiyan peak. The four mountain passes were light and dark, and another couplet appeared: "the four passes are the picture (picture), and the small one is the big one". Five brothers looked far away. Liangsan peak, the main peak of Caixiyan, suddenly caught their eyes. Inspiration suddenly appeared, and he casually replied, "five people share the umbrella (umbrella), and the little one still wants to be covered by the adults." The imperial envoy marveled at the hidden dragon and crouching tiger in the world, and had to admire the boundless scenery and outstanding people of Xinghua.

Stone heart moves, stone moves, stone moves Keep a quiet heart, you can constantly surpass and challenge yourself. In the southwest of Liangsan peak, there are two huge stones, which are 27 meters high, rising from the sky and crumbling. They are like mushrooms. They are called "mushroom stone" and "Heart Stone" because they are moving. They have different charm from different directions. Wind stone, stone on stone, wind stone moving stone not moving; flow sand, sand in sand, flow sand, flow sand, flow sand does not flow. The benevolent enjoy the mountain, the wise enjoy the water, and the benevolent enjoy the stone. According to folklore, this is the "root of life". Married women often come here to worship and pray for men. How strange! Is it true?

The origin of the name

Caixi has a long history. According to the annals of Xinghua County, during the Tang Dynasty, monk Zhiguang from nine temples in Fengshan came here. When he saw the famous Fengshui mountain, he began to practice and preach. He doesn't eat fireworks among people. He takes wild vegetables as food. Because he often washes vegetables by the stream, the leaves follow the waves and the villagers at the foot of the mountain see the leaves floating on the stream, so he calls it Caixi. Yan Guanghan, a famous scholar of the Qing Dynasty, wrote a poem: "the waterfall is full of clouds, the stone chamber is open, and ten thousand mountains are dedicated to Yuhuatai.". Don't be surprised at the famous dishes in the river. They come from the past. In the Northern Song Dynasty, there was a man named Chen Mingyi in Longhua who was appointed as a censor. He had a political disagreement with Wang Anshi in Beijing, so he abandoned his official and returned home. Later, he traveled with CAI Shu, the great grandson of CAI Xiang, who was studying in Xijing. That night, he dreamt of the golden light of Guanyin Bodhisattva and lived in seclusion here. Caishu temple was built at the foot of Caixi mountain, so it is called Caixi. (today, the historic site of CAI temple in the back seat of Xiangshan temple still exists.). Therefore, it is also called Caixi in history books, while the local people still call Caixi.

There are lifelike and lifelike peculiar rocks, among which the heart stone is known as "the first stone in Fujian"; there are waterfalls with rainbows hanging in the air and flying pearls splashing jade; there are ice mortar wonders with axe cutting and sword cutting and wonderful workmanship; there are towering ancient trees and lush forest vegetation When you enter the mountains, you can see the peaks and turns, the deep valleys and streams, the murmur of water and the singing of fairy birds. Just as Zheng Qiao, the number one scholar in the Song Dynasty, praised that "there are endless views of a hundred sceneries, and Caixi is the first scenic spot in Fujian.".

Caixiyan has a profound historical and cultural heritage. There are 2 national first-class scenic spots and 21 national second-class scenic spots. Xunyang academy, founded by Zhonglang general Zheng Zhuang in the northern and Southern Dynasties, cultivated the first group of eight Jinshi and Zhengqiao, the first scholar of Xianyou in Fujian Province, which was the first holy land for education in Fujian. Caixi academy, founded by Chen Pijun, a disciple of Zhuxi in the Song Dynasty, was the base for spreading Neo Confucianism in the south.

Caixiyan has more than 120 panoramic views, and each scenic spot has different allusions or legends. The scenery of Caixiyan is always new and changeable in all seasons. In spring, the mountain flowers are brilliant and colorful; in summer, the mountains are blue and the valleys are green; in autumn, the mountains are full of fruits and red leaves; in winter, the red plum blossoms and the green pines are in full bloom. The scenery is beautiful and colorful. There are skyscrapers like axes and clouds, Leihong waterfalls like rainbows, northwest Tianmen like lines, Southeast tianladder with steep rocks and boundless scenery, wonderful natural caves with winding paths and winding streams covered by trees.

The mountain also produces "Cai Xi Shen" (Fu Shen), Ganoderma lucidum and other precious herbs.

Main attractions

There is an old temple in the mountain. Nearby, there are two huge stones with a height of 100 meters and a width of nearly 300 meters. The stone gate is opened in the middle. The cliff on the north side of Shimen is like a screen. Every time it rains, the water on the mountain pours from here, forming a spectacular waterfall, which directly pours down to Longtan. On the east side of Longtan, a ten meter high boulder stands tall, commonly known as "feilaishi". It is said that it rolled down from the top of the mountain during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Under the Feilai stone, there is another huge stone lying on its back, engraved with the word "mianyunshi". Standing on the stone, looking to the west, you can see the steep Lion Peak. The stalagmites and umbrellas on the peak are vivid and graceful. Under mianyunshi is the "magic tour cave". By the lake in front of the cave, there are ancient pines and vines. On the right side of Caixi rock are stone drum, stone bell, stone lion, stone elephant and Luohan cave. Luohan cave is deep and spacious. It is said that he's nine immortals in Jiuli lake used to visit here. Tour route

Starting from the foot of the scenic spot, you can climb Caixi. Along the way, there are sheep peak, shuangru peak, liangxie peak, Lianhua peak, Xianglu peak and other peaks. You can enjoy the magic waterfall, carp Chaotian, mushroom stone, Honggui lake and so on. All the way thick shade block out the sun, path deep pool. About 30 minutes to Caixi temple, the main scenic spots are Leihong waterfall and stone tent. At the moment, you can eat in the temple.

Caixi Temple passes through the cradle Creek gorge. The gorge extends three or four kilometers in a north-south direction. The green mountains on both sides confront each other, and the mountain streams flow down. The stagnant water forms a pool, the cliff cuts the valley, and the vegetation is rich. It takes two hours to reach Yuanshan temple. Yuanshan temple is one of the birthplaces of South Shaolin, with an altitude of 1056 meters. Then go to shiziyan. After climbing to the top, you can have a panoramic view of thousands of valleys. It takes two hours from shiziyan to Caixiyan and back to Caixi temple. If you want a leisure route, you can enjoy the heart stone. It takes about half an hour from Caixi temple to Xinshi and 45 minutes from Xinshi to the parking lot.
