Later, because the Suzi river bends like "niuyang", it got the name "Muxi" (Manchu), which is now "Muqi". Later, in the process of merging the town with the township, the original xiayingzi town was merged into Muqi Town, which is still called Muqi. Now the town government is stationed in Muqi village. There are many places of interest in the territory. Muqi town has a National Forest Park, Houshi Forest Park, which was developed by the forestry bureau and officially opened to the public in May 1996.
The town also has the world's rare sacred tree, chisongwang, which is located in shenshugou, half Daozi, six li north of Muqi town. It was officially opened to the public in May 1998.
On both sides of the road 1 km from Muqi village to Dongzhan village, there are 16 ancient elms with a height of more than 22 meters and a chest circumference of more than 1.5 meters. They have a history of more than 400 years. The famous Jianzhou three pass and the towering Cuishi hada mountain are also Muqi's unique tourism resources.
