Founded in 2008, the China National Museum of chemical industry is located at No.62, West Beisihuan Road, Haidian District, Beijing (the third floor of China National Chemical Industry Group Building). Historical evolution

In May 2008, China National Chemical Industry Museum (phase I) was funded by China National Chemical Industry Corporation. The museum is located on the third floor of China National Chemical Industry Group building, No. 62, North Fourth Ring Road West, Beijing, with a construction area of 3900 square meters.

On September 25, 2009, a new exhibition, the history of China's chemical industry, was added to the China Chemical Industry Museum.

In November 2010, China Chemical Industry Museum was officially registered in Beijing Municipal Bureau of cultural relics and opened to the public free of charge.

On December 27, 2012, the China Museum of chemical industry signed a strategic cooperation contract with the Department of chemical engineering of Tsinghua University Based on the principle of equality, mutual benefit and complementary advantages.

In June 2014, the office of the central organization committee approved the establishment of China Chemical Industry Museum as an independent institutional legal entity.
