Longmenshan structural geology National Geopark, spanning Pengzhou City, Shifang City and Mianzhu City of Sichuan Province, has a planning area of about 1900km2 and is famous for its large-scale structural geology of klippe. Longmen Mountain is a famous mountain with 5000 years of civilization. In ancient times, it was called chapingshan and Jianshan, also called Longshan. It is said that Dayu, the earliest flood control hero of the Chinese nation, was born in Longmen Mountain. In memory of Dayu's "digging Longmen, casting nine tripods and controlling floods", it is also called Longmen Mountain. Longmen Mountain has lived for 3.7 billion years in the history of geological development. During this period, it experienced many earth shaking tectonic movements, which laid the foundation for the current geological characteristics and sculpted the present landform. It is just like a dragon's gate between the Sichuan Basin and the Western Sichuan Plateau.

Longmen Mountain

Longmen Mountain, from Guangyuan City in the northeast to Luding County in the southwest, has a total length of more than 500 kilometers and a width of 30-70 kilometers. Longmenshan National Geopark in Sichuan Province is located in the middle of Longmenshan tectonic belt, from Cifeng in Pengzhou City in the southwest to Taiping in Mianzhu City in the northeast. It is about 55 km long and 35 km wide, including Pengzhou City, Shifang City and Mianzhu City, with a total area of more than 1900 square kilometers. Longmenshan structural belt is characterized by nappe and slip nappe. Longmenshan National Geopark in Sichuan Province is the epitome of this tectonic belt, which is the most typical and representative. There are five types of guiding landscape: feilaifeng group, Shanshui gorge, Danxia landscape, hometown of Shenyu and birthplace of Taoism. Among these landscapes, the geological landscapes such as "Feilai peak" group and Karst Cave Cluster with the highest scientific research, scientific research and ornamental value, the natural landscape and canyon landscape of yincanggou, and Yangping temple, the birthplace of Taoism, are all concentrated in Pengzhou City.

The characteristic of Longmenshan National Geopark is "Feilai peak". Feilaifeng was discovered in the Alps of Europe in 1880's. in China, the famous geologist Zhao yazeng first discovered feilaifeng in Pengzhou in 1920's. it was confirmed by many geologists at home and abroad and written in geological textbooks. Based on the further study of modern Geosciences, this paper puts forward the multiple Genesis theories of "feilaifeng" in Pengzhou City, that is, the genesis of nappe and slip nappe structure and the glacial boulder formed during the great ice cap period in Tibet. No matter in terms of structure or glacial boulders, Pengzhou "feilaifeng" group is an exotic rock mass and a unique geological landscape. It has more scale and characteristics than Alpine "feilaifeng". It has high scientific research, scientific research and teaching value and is the highlight of Longmenshan National Geopark. Therefore, the soul of Longmenshan National Geopark lies in Pengzhou. On March 16, 2001, Longmenshan National Geopark, as one of the first batch of 11 national geoparks, was approved and officially awarded by the state.

Longmen Mountain scenic spot is located in Pengzhou City under the jurisdiction of Chengdu City, in the middle of Longmen Mountain, which is the transition from Sichuan basin to Qinghai Tibet Plateau. The highest peak is taizicheng 4812m, which is composed of Danjing mountain, Yinchanggou mountain, Jiufeng Mountain and Mazongling mountain, with a planning area of 203km2. Pengzhou City is known as "Tianfu Jinpeng" and "Gaoyu land" in Sichuan, with a history of 3000 years. Longmen Mountain was a famous tourist attraction in Western Sichuan in ancient times. Poets Wang Bo, Gao Shi, Lu You, Wang Yuanliang, Yang Shen and Li Tiaoyuan all visited Longmen Mountain and praised it as "the land of Heavenly Emperor Huichang" and "the land of heroes". It is a flower mountain in Western China.

Longmen Mountain scenic spot is characterized by steep peaks and deep canyons, which are strong, dangerous, strange, quiet and interesting. Birds, animals, flowing springs, waterfalls, canyons, plank roads, strange rocks, rainbows, magic lamps, Buddha lights, and exotic flowers and plants are all available. It is the nearest mountain canyon type scenic spot to a big city.

Danjing mountain, the frontier scenic spot of Longmen Mountain, is famous for its peony culture, religious culture and ancient pengshu culture. Since the Tang Dynasty, peony has been planted on a large scale. In the Song Dynasty, especially in that period, peony is very popular, and it is as famous as Luoyang. Lu You, a great poet, has the praise of "Peony in Zhongzhou, Luoyang is the first; Peony in shutianpeng is the first". Tianpeng peony is famous for its high plant height, luxuriant leaves, large flowers, long neck, moistening, plump and gorgeous, especially for its wild taste of "living on cliff and broken wall". Blooming season, all over the mountains of peony intoxicating, as if into the sea of flowers. The Tianpeng Peony Flower Fair is held in April every year, which attracts a lot of tourists. Now Pengzhou has become the largest peony viewing center in Western China.

Jiufeng Mountain

The vast world is a wonder. Which tourist doesn't want to have a tourist area integrating mountain scenery, water scenery, living scenery, atmosphere scenery and cultural scenery? Jiufeng Mountain scenic spot, a provincial scenic spot developed in recent years, is a comprehensive scenic spot that can appreciate various charms of nature. After repeated investigation and demonstration by the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Advisory Group, it is considered that the high mountain gorge, rainbow mirage, waterfall Longtan, suspension bridge plank road and Foguang cloud sea in this area are particularly characteristic, and have many functions such as recuperation, vacation, teaching and scientific research.

The scenic spot is located in the northern mountainous area of Pengzhou City, Chengdu City, adjacent to Yinchanggou Scenic spot. There are various types of natural landscapes in this area, such as towering and beautiful mountains, grotesque rocks and deep canyons; waterfalls, Longtan, underground rivers, moraine lakes; primitive forest, ape singing and swallowing, green hills; rainbow mirage, Buddha lights, sunrise clouds; suspended bridge plank road, Tiewa ancient temple. There are 11 high mountains above 3200m above sea level, and the highest peak, Prince City, is 4812m above sea level.

Jiufeng Mountain (actually one of the nine peaks, flame peak) and Mazongling have their own characteristics. The Buddha light in Jiufeng Mountain is different from that in Jinding of Emei Mountain. In the aura of Jinding, there are half body figures, while in Jiufeng Mountain, there are full body figures. Mazongling Buddha light is different from the first two, sometimes visible double shadow. At the top of Jiufeng Mountain, the ancient "light watching platform" can sometimes be seen in the evening, which is orange and floating. According to witnesses, it was not caused by phosphorous fire. What kind of natural phenomenon is still a mystery. Throughout the Jiufeng Mountain scenic spot, rare animals and plants are relatively complete. Giant panda, red panda, antelope, golden monkey, etc. belong to the first and second level national protection animals; Davidia involucrata, Davidia Guangye, lianxiangshu, shuiqingshu, lingchunmu, etc. belong to the first, second and third level national protection plants. A large number of geological structural phenomena such as "PENGGUAN complex" and "feilaifeng" in this area, as well as the outcropped complete strata, have attracted great attention of geologists at home and abroad.

Jiufeng Mountain scenic spot is named because of "Qifeng mountain is located in the sky, towering and standing in the line of nine". Four of the nine peaks are above 4000 m above sea level. It is said that Jiufeng Mountain is actually a flame peak. Jiufeng Mountain is full of grotesque rocks, cloud and mist, tall and straight trees, and sometimes giant pandas. Climbing Leiyin temple on the top of Jiufeng Mountain, you can enjoy the mountain landscape, sunrise, sea of clouds, Buddha light, magic lamp and other celestial wonders.

Mazongling, 3508m above sea level, is named for its steep mountain peak, which looks like an angry horse's mane. Alpine Rhododendron forest into a piece, covering an area of ten thousand mu, it is amazing.
