Wufeng Lin's house garden is the general name of Wufeng Lin's garden and House complex in amangwu (today's Wufeng District of Taichung City). It consists of three parts: dingcuo, xiacuo and Laiyuan. The dingcuo system is divided into rongjingzhai, jingxunlou and Yipu; the xiacuo system is divided into caochuo, gongbaodi, dahuating, erfangcuo and 28 rooms; the vegetable garden is a garden built by Lin Wenqin of dingcuo department, which is commonly known as "Lin Garden" by local residents and is located in the campus of Mingtai middle school.
Wufeng Lin House garden
The most famous ancient garden house in Taichung is listed as a second-class historic site. The Lin family of Wufeng and the Lin family of Banqiao are the two largest Lin families in Taiwan, but the Lin family of Banqiao is a rich businessman, while the Lin family of Wufeng is an official for generations. They have participated in the battle of defending the local area for many times, either military or literary, and have written many deeds. Today's Lin family garden includes three parts: dingcuo, xiacuo and Laiyuan.
Dingcuo
Rongjingzhai: originally a courtyard made of red kiln clay bricks, it was rebuilt into rongjingzhai around 1887 (the 13th year of Guangxu) as a private school; the panchi in the vestibule was excavated in imitation of the shape of Confucius Temple.
Jingxunlou group: it was started and built before 1864 (the third year of Tongzhi). In 1867 (the sixth year of Tongzhi), it completed the first internal and external dragon protection, Zhengshen and jingxunlou gatehouse. Around 1883 (the ninth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu), the second fall was completed. In 1899 (the 25th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), houlou was completed.
Xincuo: it was added to the south of Hualuo (the third floor of jingxunlou) in 1916.
Yipu: it was originally a local building, used as guest room and barn. In 1906 (the 39th year of Meiji), it was reorganized as a place for recreation.
Xiacuo
Thatched cottage: originally a Sanhe thatched cottage in the north of Gongbao No.1, most of it has been rebuilt.
Gongbaodi: it was built by Lin wencha in 1858 (the eighth year of Xianfeng) when he expanded his residence, which was later the third entrance to the body and the left and right, and the inner and outer dragon protection. After Lin wencha died in Zhangzhou in the war, the Qing government issued an imperial edict to pursue the "Prince Shaobao". His son expanded the second entrance hall and the first entrance hall of the palace Bao from 1870 to 1883 (from the ninth year of Tongzhi to the ninth year of Guangxu).
Dahua Hall: it is a large banquet hall for public banquet in xiacuo. It was built in 1890 (the 16th year of Guangxu). It was completed around 1894 with exquisite stage and open-air audience.
Er Fang CuO: it is the second room house of Xia Cuo. It was built between 1864 and 1870 (from the third year to the ninth year of the reign of emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty). It is the same as Gong Bao Di as Wu Luo Da Cuo.
Lai yuan
It is the Lin Garden. It is famous for ten sceneries of Lai garden, and four famous gardens in Taiwan, together with Wu garden in Tainan, Beiguo garden in Hsinchu and Benyuan garden in Banqiao forest. In 1893 (the 19th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), Lin Wenqin took the lead in the rural examination, built a Laiyuan garden at the foot of Wufeng, served his mother, Mrs. Luo Tai, to travel. The name comes from Laolaizi. During his visit to Taiwan in 1911, Liang Qichao wrote 12 poems praising the scenery of Laiyuan, which later called "Twelve quatrains of Laiyuan scenic spots". It is now the campus of Mingtai middle school.

Kapok bridge: in the old days, the entrance to Laiyuan was originally a wooden bridge across Taoyi stream; it was named after the kapok trees around. It was rebuilt into a cement bridge in 1930.
Maoyijian
Wu GUI Lou: rebuilt in 1906, named after five osmanthus trees in front of the gate. The first floor is for Mrs. Luo Tai's daily life, and the second floor is for Mrs. Luo to watch the opera. When Liang Qichao visited Laiyuan, he stayed there.
Xiaoxichi
Lychee Island: built in the earth platform of xiaoxichi, there is a singing platform for Mrs. Luo Tai to enjoy opera. Later, it was transformed into the "flying wine cup drunk moon Pavilion".

Iron cannon stele: it was erected by Lin Xiantang and written by Chen wangzeng, a Jinshi. It commemorates the deeds of Lin's ancestors in fighting back Dai Chaochun's rebellion and other party's attack on amang Wu. It is said that the original iron cannon is no longer available.
Famous monument of Lishe: it was erected in 1921 on the 20th anniversary of Lishe.
