The person in charge also said that at the expert group forum held recently, the experts agreed with the name of the square and the design concept with bamboo as the theme, because bamboo and building are homophonic, and bamboo also symbolizes Guizhou people's steaming upward and exuberant vitality. However, experts have raised objections to the design schemes of eight landmark buildings such as "future bamboo" and "bamboo shoots of life" proposed in the previous planning and design scheme. They think that as the landmark of the square and even Guiyang, the landmark buildings are of great significance, and the existing eight schemes have not been approved.
