Tianxin Yongle Temple
Tianxin Yongle temple is a famous Buddhist temple in Wuyi Mountain. When it was first built, it was called Shanxin Yongle nunnery. In the seventh year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty, in 1528 ad, Han Dongxu, a Taoist, once changed his name to Tianxin temple and expanded it. In the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Guoguo, a disciple of Tiehua National Master of zhangtangyan in Wuyishan, was changed to Tianxin Yongle Temple because of monk Chongguang's religious name. According to the records of Wuyi Mountains by Dong Tiangong of the Qing Dynasty, Tianxin peak, where Tianxin Yongle temple is located, is located in Wuyi Mountain, so it is called "the pivot of heaven". [1385] in the 18th year of Hongwu, Juzi Ding Xian suffered from heatstroke on the way to the imperial examination. He was treated with tea as medicine by the monk of Tianxin temple. [1419] in the 17th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty granted Tianxin Yongle temple the title of "Dahongpao". "Dahongpao" became the most famous tea in the world.
[1526] in the fifth year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty, Xu Liu wrote "Tianxin Zen tea", the name of which first appeared in the classics.
[1646] in the third year of Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty, Tianxin tea monk developed oolong tea production technology, which provided "rice" cooking for Gongfu tea. Dahongpao, known as the ancestor of Oolong tea and the source of Gongfu tea, has gradually become the synonym of Wuyi rock tea.
In 1685, in the 25th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Shi Chaoquan, a tea monk from Tianxin, wrote Wuyi tea song, which is the first document to record the production technology of Oolong tea.
[1855] in the fifth year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty, abbot Tianxin presented 36 tea seedlings to Taiwan student Lin Fengchi. It is widely introduced in Taiwan and has become a famous tea "frozen top Oolong".
[1943] in the 32nd year of the Republic of China, Tianxin monks completed the "Dahongpao" cliff stone carving.
