Wuyi Palace

Wuyi palace is the oldest Taoist temple in Wuyishan Scenic Area. There are two existing Longjing, Wannian palace and Sanqing palace. Wannian palace is now Zhu Xi Memorial Hall. There are two thousand year old osmanthus trees in the palace, which are called "king of Osmanthus". Sanqing hall is now the site of international Lanting college. There are four precious inscriptions in the hall: Zhongding Shendao tablet, Dongtian Xianfu, Ming Gong Yiqing and modern Guo Moruo's poems about Wuyi. Wuyi palace scenic area also includes Wuyishan Museum and shopping block.

Wuyi Palace

Wuyi palace scenic area is the core part of Wuyishan National Scenic Area, also known as "Wuyi Palace". It is located in Qingchuan, the end of Jiuqu River raft tour. Wuyi palace, also known as Huixian temple, Chongyou temple and Wannian temple, is located at the south foot of dawangfeng of Wuyi Mountain, about 15 kilometers south of Chongan County, Fujian Province, and near Jiuqu Xikou in front of it. It is the place where emperors of all dynasties worshiped Wuyi gods and emperors, and is also one of the six famous temples in the Song Dynasty. Facing the stream, leaning on the Xiufeng, the fertile Green River and the skillfully constructed forest, it is a place where tourists gather. It was first built in the Tianbao period of Tang Dynasty (742-755 AD) and has a history of more than 1000 years.

Development history

According to the records of Wuyi Mountain, Wuyi palace was first built in the Tianbao period of Tang Dynasty (742-755). It is the oldest palace in Wuyi Mountain and has a history of more than 1000 years. When Wuyi palace was first built, it was not built on the current site, but on the Zhouzhu, which is called Tianbao hall. In the second year of Baoda in the Southern Tang Dynasty (944), Li Wangjing, the emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, moved to the present site and named it Huixian temple. After the completion of Huixian temple, all the feudal rulers who believed in the immortal family spared no expense to repair and expand the palace many times, and changed its name to Zhongyou temple.

Xin Qiji, a poet of the Southern Song Dynasty, Lu You, Liu Zijun and Zhu Xi were all in charge of Chongyou. Yuantaiding five years (1328), changed to palace, known as "Wannian Palace". In the fourth year of Ming Zhengtong (1439), Guan was destroyed by war. During the years of Tianshun and Chenghua (1457-1487), although the government had repeatedly allocated funds for repair, the old view could not be restored. In the fourth year of Jiajing reign (1525), Guan was burned again, and was restored the following year. It is the Wuyi palace.

Although the Wuyi palace, which has a long history, has been repaired in the past dynasties, it can't stand several fires and wars, and only a few empty rooms are left. With the support of the tourism and cultural departments, the main hall of Wuyi palace was restored again. The two osmanthus trees in the courtyard were left over from the Song Dynasty, which were 800-900 years old. The plan for the full restoration of Wuyi palace will be carried out step by step. This eternal view of fame is bound to return to its former grandeur.

Wuyi palace has evolved into a place name.

Main attractions

There are two existing Longjing, Wannian palace and Sanqing palace. It has been developed as a scenic spot, including Fangsong commercial street and tea temple, Zhuxi memorial hall, Zhongshan Hall, Wanchun botanical garden, etc., with many tourist service facilities. 　　

The main landscapes include Wuyishan Museum, Sanqing hall, Dawang peak, Manting peak, Shizi peak, bone changing rock, Sangu stone, song street, Zhuxi memorial hall, Liuyong memorial hall, etc. it is a scenic spot integrating natural landscape, garden architecture, history and culture.

Wannian Palace: from Huizong of Song Dynasty to Xiding of ningzong, 25 people, such as Zhu Xi, Lu You, Xin Qiji, Li Bai and Yue Fei, came to Chongyou temple to take charge of ancestral affairs. Wannian palace is the memorial hall of Zhu Xi.

Sanqing Hall: the site of international Lanting college. There are four precious inscriptions in the hall: Zhongding Shendao tablet, Dongtian Xianfu, Ming Gong Yiqing and modern Guo Moruo's poems about Wuyi.

Fangsong Street: located in Wuyi palace, it has a total length of 300 meters and takes the north-south direction. There is a stone gate on the street and an ancient gate building at the end of the street. It imitates the architectural style of Song Dynasty and takes Zhuxi Memorial Hall as the leader.

Tourism tips: Sanqing hall is the location of international Lanting college. There are four precious stone tablets in the hall, which are worth seeing.

Wuyi palace is located at the foot of Yiqu Dawang peak, separated from the resort by a stream. The distance is less than 2 kilometers. It's very convenient to walk or take a taxi.
