Longguidi reservoir was built in 1998 with a rainfall collection area of 2.35km2, an average annual water inflow of 1.5 × 106m3, an arch dam height of 27.1m, a total storage capacity of 9.89 × 105m3 and an annual water supply of 1.4 × 106m3.

Longguidi reservoir is located in the karst area, where there are many caves. It is very difficult to store water on the surface of the reservoir. Therefore, the water conservancy department has adopted advanced grouting technology to effectively solve the problem of difficult water storage. After impoundment, the Forest Wetland complex ecosystem formed by forest vegetation and water area around the reservoir catchment is unique and typical, which is an important habitat for wetland birds.
