Shihezi Medical College
On August 1, 1949, the first field army of the people's Liberation Army liberated Tianshui, Gansu Province. Wang Zhen, commander of the first corps, instructed pan Shizheng, Minister of health, to run schools and hospitals. A Preparatory Committee for the first Corps health school was set up at Tianshui west railway station to carry out the recruitment work on the spot. On October 16, all the teachers and students of the school were ordered to march into Xinjiang. After arriving at Hami and Turpan, they divided into two groups according to the instructions of the Corps. On the South Road, Wang ZhuoBi led the second and fourth teams from Turpan to Kashi on a 43 day walk, and established the southern Xinjiang medical training team. On the North Road, political commissar Li Guoqing led one or three brigades from Hami to Dihua by Soviet military aircraft. 1、 360 students and 24 teaching and service personnel from the three brigades were merged with 46 members of the health personnel training group of the former joint logistics headquarters in Xinjiang to establish the health school of Xinjiang Military Region.
On January 19, 1950, more than 300 staff of the health school arrived in Dihua, Xinjiang, and settled in the barracks outside the east gate. After entering Xinjiang, the health school of the first Corps was changed into the health school of Xinjiang Military Region.
On April 25, 1952, the midwifery School of the Ministry of health of the Xinjiang military region was dismounted, and 130 junior students were enrolled in the health school to set up a nursing class.
On August 12, 1954, according to the notice of the production management department of the military region, the school moved from the east gate to the new site of old Mancheng. In October, the production and Construction Corps of Xinjiang military region was established, and the health school was assigned to the corps and renamed "Health School of production and Construction Corps of Xinjiang Military Region".
On May 27, 1958, all the schools left Urumqi and moved to Shihezi.
In August 1959, the University was officially included in the national unified enrollment plan, and designated to recruit undergraduate students in Sichuan and Henan. In December, BINGTUAN health school was upgraded to Xinjiang military region production and Construction Corps medical college.
In February 1970, the school was a division level unit under the Logistics Department of the Corps, and its full name was "Medical College of the production and Construction Corps of the Xinjiang Military Region of the Chinese people's Liberation Army". In May, the production and Construction Corps of Xinjiang military region was abolished, and the school was renamed Shihezi Medical College, which was under the management of the Education Bureau of Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
On August 25, 1975, the school was upgraded from a medical college to a medical college, officially named Shihezi medical college.
In 1976, the nursing school of the second hospital of XPCC was renamed "Nursing School of Shihezi Medical College".
On October 26, 1978, it was officially named Shihezi medical college according to the instructions of the Ministry of education.
Shihezi Agricultural College
On February 20, 1959, the seal of agricultural college was officially put into use. On April 1, BINGTUAN decided to merge Shihezi agricultural experimental farm with Shihezi horticultural team and put them under the organizational system of agricultural college, which was renamed "practice farm of BINGTUAN Agricultural College". On November 24, the Agricultural College of the production and Construction Corps of the Xinjiang Military Region of the Chinese people's Liberation Army was established.
On November 1, 1959, the Agricultural College of the production and Construction Corps of the Xinjiang military region was established in Shihezi. Shihezi horticultural team and maintenance training class of Xinjiang military region production and Construction Corps were incorporated into Agricultural College of Xinjiang military region production and Construction Corps.
In 1966, due to the "Cultural Revolution" to stop enrollment, graduate students stopped distribution.
In 1969, the Agricultural College of the production and Construction Corps of the Xinjiang military region was abolished.
In September 1970, the Agricultural College of the production and Construction Corps of the Xinjiang Military Region resumed.
In 1971, the College moved from Shihezi to Kuitun. The college is a division level unit directly under the leadership of BINGTUAN.
In 1976, the former agricultural college of Xinjiang military region production and Construction Corps was renamed Kuitun agricultural college, which was led by Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. In February, "Kuitun Agricultural College" was renamed "Shihezi Agricultural College of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region", which is a university directly under the Ministry of agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries.
In 1979, Kuitun Agricultural College of Xinjiang military region production and Construction Corps was renamed Shihezi agricultural college.
In 1990, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council approved Shihezi Agricultural College as a master's degree awarding unit, setting up four master's degree programs. With the approval of the science and Technology Association of the autonomous region, Xinjiang Society of agricultural engineering is affiliated to Shihezi agricultural college.
In 1993, the Economic Research Institute of XPCC moved from Shihezi to the school.
In 1994, BINGTUAN Food Research Institute was established, which is affiliated to Shihezi agricultural college.
BINGTUAN Economic College
In the winter of 1959, the accounting training team of Xinjiang military region production and Construction Corps was established in Urumqi.
In 1961, the accounting training team moved to Shihezi and held the second, third and fourth training courses with about 146 people using the empty house of the ammonia plant.
In 1962, the school was forced to move from Shihezi to halamaodun in Hejing County, southern Xinjiang, and the accounting training team of XPCC was renamed the financial training class of XPCC. In October, XPCC officially announced the establishment of the "Financial Cadre School of production and Construction Corps of Xinjiang Military Region". The school is located in Shihezi.
In August 1968, the school was abolished.
In August 1980, the General Administration of agricultural reclamation of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region planned to establish a "Financial Cadre School of the General Administration of agricultural reclamation" on the site of Kuitun agricultural college built by the former production and Construction Corps in Kuitun. The title of "Financial Cadre School of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps" was restored, and the school was located in Sanping farm, Urumqi.
In 1983, BINGTUAN restored BINGTUAN School of Finance and economics, located in Wujiaqu.
On January 31, 1984, BINGTUAN made it clear that the school was under the dual leadership of the Ministry and the autonomous region, with the Ministry as the main body and the school located in Wujiaqu. On December 14, the Ministry of agriculture, animal husbandry and Fisheries approved the establishment of BINGTUAN Economic College, while retaining BINGTUAN School of Finance and economics.
BINGTUAN Teachers College
In April 1960, according to the instructions of the Party committee of the autonomous region, the XPCC decided to set up and rebuild 12 full-time professional and technical schools to prepare for the construction of the XPCC normal college in Shihezi. The school is located in the northwest corner of Shihezi middle school, with the gate facing the West path. Due to the short preparation time, the teacher's college was set up first to recruit 150 middle and high school graduates from the mainland's border supporting youth, with three majors of Chinese, mathematics and Russian for two years.
In 1962, BINGTUAN teachers college was closed.
In 1981, after the Education Committee of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps reported to the Education Department of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for approval, BINGTUAN teacher training college was established in Kuitun city. In December, the Xinjiang production and Construction Corps was restored, and the teachers' Training College of agricultural reclamation was under the leadership of the Corps.
In 1983, the "Teacher Training College of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps" was renamed "Education College of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps", and the establishment of Normal College of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps was officially approved.
Merger and formation
On September 11, 1996, Shihezi Agricultural College Affiliated to the Ministry of agriculture, Shihezi Medical College, BINGTUAN Economic College and BINGTUAN normal college were merged to form Shihezi University, which belongs to Xinjiang production and Construction Corps. The construction system of BINGTUAN Economic College was canceled, and it was changed into "BINGTUAN staff University", and the school name of "BINGTUAN finance and economics school" was retained. Wujiaqu school was continued to run. At the same time, it was listed as "Shihezi University Vocational and Technical College".
In October 1997, the former BINGTUAN Economic College and Shihezi staff University of the Eighth Agricultural Division merged to form BINGTUAN staff University, and the name of Shihezi vocational and technical college was added.
In February 2000, Shihezi University implemented the leadership system of joint construction by the central government and Xinjiang production and Construction Corps, with Xinjiang production and Construction Corps as the main body. In March, the organizational system of Kuitun branch of Shihezi University and Kuitun branch of Adult Education College of Shihezi University was abolished, and the organizational system was handed over to the seventh agricultural division to form the "seventh agricultural division high school". The Wujiaqu part of BINGTUAN staff University was merged into Shihezi University, and named as the Wujiaqu branch of Shihezi University. In August, the University was listed as a key construction university in the western development.
In April 2001, the school officially named "Wujiaqu branch" as "business school of Shihezi University", and moved "BINGTUAN School of Finance and economics" out of "business school".
In April 2002, the University began to recruit foreign students, the first batch of 22 students from Pakistan. In August, the College of science and technology of Shihezi University was established.
In September 2003, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council approved Shihezi University as the doctoral degree awarding unit, setting up three doctoral degree programs in crop cultivation and farming, animal genetics and breeding, and agricultural economic management.
In May 2004, the Ministry of education and Xinjiang production and Construction Corps decided to jointly build Shihezi University.
In April 2005, Shihezi University's chemical engineering and technology and other 11 disciplines were included in the Ministry of education's "aid Xinjiang discipline construction plan", receiving support from Tianjin University, Zhejiang University, Huazhong University of science and technology, Sichuan Agricultural University and Northwest University of agriculture and forestry science and technology. In June, Xinjiang military region signed a training agreement with Shihezi University, and the University began to train reserve officers for the army.
In 2006, he was selected into the National College Students' cultural quality education base.
In December 2008, the university entered the national "211 Project" key construction universities.
