Danhe Bridge
Shanxi Jincheng Danhe bridge is located at the southern end of Taihang Mountains and crosses Danhe river at K10 + 300 of Shanxi Jincheng Henan Jiaozuo expressway. Designed by CCCC first highway survey, design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., the bridge was started in November 1997 and completed in July 2000.
General situation of the bridge
The total length of Danhe bridge is 413.17m. The span composition is 2 × 30 m + 146 m + 5 × 30 m, the net span of main hole is 146 m, and the net rise height is 32.444 M. The bridge deck is 24.8m wide and 80.6m high. The railings of the bridge are composed of more than 200 stone carvings showing the history and culture of Jincheng city and nearly 300 traditional stone lions, reflecting the perfect combination of modern and traditional civilization.
The bridge adopts the full Vierendeel variable section catenary stone slab arch structure without hinge. The abdominal arch is composed of 14 equal span abdominal arches. In order to reduce the building gravity on the arch and increase the perspective and aesthetic effect of the structure, the transverse excavation is adopted for the abdominal arch pier. The abdominal arch adopts the structural form of three hinged arch at the side hole and deformation joint at the middle of the span.
In order to reduce the load on the arch, autoclaved fly ash aerated concrete, a light filler, is used in the design of the bridge. It has the characteristics of low dry density, light weight, high utilization coefficient of masonry strength, large elastic coefficient, less and slow water absorption, good frost resistance, wide range of raw materials, low price, workability and easy construction.
The concrete anti-collision wall is used inside the sidewalk of Danhe bridge, and the stone railings are used outside. On the side of the bridge, the main arch ring and sidewalk eaves are adopted to increase the aesthetic effect of the bridge.
The main arch ring of the bridge is constructed in ring and section on the arch frame. The arch frame adopts steel wood combined structure with a height of nearly 80m. The main body of the arch frame is a steel arch frame composed of A3 and 16Mn steel universal members. The steel arch frame is equipped with a combined wedge, on which is a wooden arch helmet.
Architectural process
Due to the deep ditch, steep valley and large span, the form of support construction becomes the key to the success of Danhe bridge. After a variety of choices, Danhe bridge finally adopts the space bent steel arch with clear structure stress, high stability and safety, fast construction speed and high equipment reuse rate. The arched helmet is composed of round pine bent, arched wood and formwork. The traditional single wedge and combined wedge are used in the unloading equipment. The whole construction process is under strict and scientific control, and all engineering indexes have reached the ideal state.
As the world's largest span stone arch bridge, Danhe bridge has many key technical problems to be solved. In July 1997, the research group of "key technology research on design and construction of super long span stone arch bridge" was set up, which was presided over by Jincheng Transportation Bureau and CCCC First Highway Survey and Design Institute, and cooperated with school of civil engineering and architecture of Chongqing Jiaotong University, School of highway of Chang'an University, Shanxi transportation science research institute and other units to carry out in-depth and systematic research on the subject and complete the raw material design Many research contents, such as test and masonry mechanical property test, 1 ∶ 10 model test, real bridge static and dynamic load test, comparative study on design and analysis methods of large-span stone arch bridge constructed step by step, simulation technology and construction control technology, fill in the blank of domestic high-grade small stone concrete masonry physical and mechanical property index, and find out the high stress area at the foot of stone arch bridge constructed step by step for the first time In order to achieve the ideal lightweight filling on the arch, we have mastered the simulation technology and construction control method of long-span stone arch bridge construction step by step, supplemented the relevant specifications, and provided reliable scientific parameters and technical support for the design and construction control and safety evaluation of Danhe bridge. Danhe bridge provides a successful example for the design and construction of long-span and high load stone bridge, and also greatly enriches the scientific and technological connotation of Chinese stone arch bridge. At the project appraisal meeting in April 2001, an expert group composed of academicians of the Chinese Academy of engineering and domestic famous bridge design masters and professors believed that the research results of this project reached the international leading level, and Danhe bridge was officially listed in the Guinness world record.

Main bridges
Danhe River, originated in Danzhuling, Zhaozhuang, Gaoping City, flows through Lucun, beiyicheng, Gaodu, Shuidong, Jincun, liushukou, nanhexi and other towns of Zezhou County, and then flows into Qinhe River after entering Henan Province, with a total length of 121.5 km. 1、 Liuzhuang Danhe bridge. Located in the south of Liuzhuang village, Gaoping City, national highway 207, it is a skew 45 reinforced concrete hollow slab bridge, 133 meters long, 12 meters wide and 5 meters high. It is a precast hollow slab with 10 holes and 13.3 meters per span. It was built in 1992.
2、 Beiwangzhuang Danhe bridge. Located in beiwangzhuang village, Gaoping City, provincial highway Chang (Zhi) Jin (Cheng) line, it was a wooden bridge on Baijin road in 1927 (16 years of the Republic of China). In the early days of liberation, Gaoping County organized cutting trees and preparing materials. It took one year to build a large wooden bridge with 38 holes and each span of 3 meters, with a total length of 115 meters, a width of 6 meters and a height of 3 meters, sharing 150 cubic meters of wood. In 1966, the Provincial Highway Bureau invested and rebuilt it into a reinforced concrete T-beam bridge with 9 holes, each span of 11.3 meters, length of 105 meters, width of 7.5 meters and height of 3 meters, which is now beiwangzhuang Danhe bridge.
3、 Shangcheng GongDan River Bridge. Located in the west of shangchenggong village, Lucun Township, Zezhou County, Bo (Village) Niu (Zhuang) highway, it is a single span 40 meter stone arch bridge, 58.46 meters long, 8.5 meters wide and 23 meters high. Designed by Niu Yunxiang, it was built in 1981.
4、 Dongjiao River Danhe bridge. Located in Dongjiaohe village, Dongxia village, Zezhou County, Jincheng zhangkou highway, it is a single span stone arch bridge with a length of 175 meters, a width of 8.5 meters and a height of 18.5 meters. It was built in 1983. At that time, it was the largest span stone arch bridge in North China.
