Shanshan guild hall is located in the south of Jiudu Road, Mashi street, Nanguan, the old city of Luoyang. Also known as the West Hall. In the Qing Dynasty, merchants from Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces came to Luoyang to live together. It was built during the reign of Kangxi and Yongzheng in the early Qing Dynasty, and then repaired many times. It was rebuilt in 1835. The existing glazed screen wall is 12 meters high and 13.2 meters wide. In the center, it is made of colored glazed square bricks to form patterns of two dragons playing with pearls, figures, flowers and birds. The mountain gate is 3 wide and 1 deep, which is of Xieshan style. Dance floor width, depth of each 3, Xie Shan style. The main hall is a central building, with 5 rooms wide and 3 rooms deep. Historical evolution
Luoyang is located in the Central Plains. It is adjacent to Shanxi and Shaanxi, Jianghuai in the South and Qilu in the East. The guild hall is called Hongli.

Since the founding of new China, Shanshan guild hall has been used by Luoyang No.7 Middle School. The building has become the school building of Luoyang No.7 Middle School. It was designated as a key cultural relics protection unit at the provincial level in 1986, managed by Luoyang cultural relics administration bureau in 1996, and announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in 2006.
In 2014, Luoyang Sui Tang Grand Canal Museum was built and opened to the outside world relying on Luoyang Shanshan guild hall.
Architectural features
Luoyang Shanshan guild hall is located in the north and faces south, and its layout is dense in the front and sparse in the back. There are glass wall, gate, dance building, main hall, worship hall and other buildings, there are two pairs of stone lions in front of the door. Among them, the main hall is the main building of the guild hall, with 5 rooms in width and 3 rooms in depth. It has a Xieshan roof and is covered with glazed tiles. The screen wall is 12 meters high and 13.2 meters wide. It is made of blue carved bricks. In the middle of the screen wall, three square walls are inlaid with colored glazed square bricks. On the walls are decorated with erlongxizhu, flowers, figures, etc., and the base is decorated with patterns. The main hall is a central building, with 5 rooms wide and 3 rooms deep. It has a Xieshan style roof, glazed tiles and brackets.
The terrain of the guild hall is on the low side, there is no open gate, only the East and west gate. There is a screen wall in the middle of the East and West Instrument doors, which is about 12 meters high and 13 meters wide.

Shanmen
Facing the wall is the mountain gate, which is engraved with the word "master Hedong". This "Hedong master" refers to Guan Gong. Guan Gong is a teacher of honesty. Respecting him represents that businessmen should take honesty as the foundation.
Dance house
Behind the gate is the dancing building. The roof of the building is made of glass. The "Pearl" of the two dragons' drama is spider, which symbolizes all directions of the business road. The rope pattern connecting the whole glass roof has the meaning of "rope and rope are linked and passed down from generation to generation". The eight immortals with different postures naturally mean that "Eight Immortals cross the sea and show their magic power" on the business road. The cabbage also means "Bai Lai Cai" .
Worship the temple
On the north side of the courtyard is the hall of worship. On the west side of the hall, there is a stele rebuilt in the third year of Xianfeng (1853 A.D.) and a pair of stone lions in front of the platform. The hall of worship, namely the main hall, is the central hall of the guild hall, and is the main place to worship Guan Gong in April every year. There are a complete set of gold colored paintings in the early Qing Dynasty in the hall of worship. Although they have been eroded by years, they are still gorgeous in color and exquisite in design. Further north, there is the back hall, with the dragon head of the bucket arch on the eaves and beams stretching its teeth and dancing its claws and flying through the clouds; the wooden door under the eaves and beams is carved with figures, flowers and birds, insects, fish and grass.

Luoyang Shanshan guild hall is one of the few well preserved buildings in western Henan in the early Qing Dynasty. Shanshan guild hall in Luoyang was renovated in different degrees during the reign of Jiaqing and Daoguang in Qing Dynasty.
In 1998, Henan Provincial Bureau of cultural relics listed it as a key protection and maintenance project, and allocated 1 million yuan for protection and maintenance design and planning.
From 1998 to 2000, the relevant departments demolished the uncoordinated buildings inside the buildings, cleaned up the silt, laid drainage pipes, repaired the collapsed East and West Instrument doors, and protected and maintained the main hall.
Since August 2003, the cultural relics department has started the protection and restoration project of the back hall and the east west side hall of the Shanshan guild hall. It has demolished 300 square meters of illegal buildings, renovated 570 square meters of tile houses, restored about 100 meters of glass ridges and beasts, restored 230 square meters of wood decoration, paved 400 square meters of green bricks, and replaced and repaired 235 rafters, wall columns and rafter columns. In order to better protect this building, the Department of cultural relics also invited Italian architectural experts to Luoyang for discussion and technical guidance. Following the principle of "repair the old as old, do not change the original appearance", the painting, repair, reinforcement and other work of the wooden building are in place, effectively protecting the ancient building.
In 2011, lightning protection facilities were built in Shanshan guild hall, the cultural relic storage center of Luoyang Shanshan guild hall.
Tourism information
The maintenance of Shanshan guild hall in Luoyang has been completed and officially opened to the public (free ticket) since May 18, 2011.
