Yongzhi Village
Yongzhi village is the core area for UN experts to investigate Deqin area. It is a quiet place almost isolated from the world. It not only has primeval forests, snow mountains and glaciers, rapids and dangerous beaches, meadows and lakes, but also is a rare longevity village. It is a paradise for people. It makes UN experts Jim and sansel excited and praise it repeatedly: "what a place Yuhunjin's village, after retirement, will come back to Yongzhi village with his family... "
Yongzhi village is adjacent to Lancang River in the East, Nujiang River in the west, duogela mountain and peacock mountain, etc. between the two rivers, it forms a vertical and horizontal watershed. Peacock mountain is more than 4000 meters high, on which there is a fat pasture for Yongzhi villagers to live. Tibetans are closely related to it and affectionately call it: rizong Maya.
Yongzhi is a natural village in Yunling township. There are more than 100 families, most of them are local Tibetans. There is a village group on the mountain. The residents are all Lisu People. The villagers worked hard year after year, mainly planting wheat and corn, introducing grapes, Grazing Yaks, walnuts, fungi and beekeeping as sidelines, while pigs and chickens were for their own consumption, self-sufficiency and equal access. However, since the 1980s, there has been an additional business in the village, which is to provide guides and horse gangs for travelers who travel abroad and across the two rivers.
Yongzhi and the neighboring Yongyong village are the two starting points of Kawagebo's waizhuanjing road. In the past, many people started from Yongzhi. More and more people who came to Tibet started from Yongzhi, so the tourists who went to the mountains also started from Yongzhi.
