Lianshi lake is located at the junction of Shijingshan, Mentougou and Fengtai River in Beijing. It was built on the beach of Yongding River.

Development history

This is a section of Yongding River. Due to the dryness of Yongding River in recent 30 years, it has become a dry riverbed.

The construction of Lianshi Lake Wetland Park was started in August 2008 and completed in October 2011, with an investment of 467 million yuan. On the original concave river bed, a long corridor with vast, fresh and beautiful landscape has been built. The total area of the park is 226 hectares, including 102 hectares of water surface, 110 hectares of green area and 14 hectares of supporting infrastructure. There are one main scenic spot and eight scenic spots. The main scenic spot mainly inherits the water diversion culture, flood control culture and water control culture of Yongding River through the four elements of "mountain, water, lotus and stone".
