Former Shenyang Normal University

On May 21, 1951, Northeast Institute of education was established. On September 16, 1953, the Education Bureau of the Northeast administrative committee transferred the notice to the central Ministry of Education: in order to unify the name of normal universities, it decided to change the name of Northeast Education University to Shenyang Normal University. Comrade Guo Moruo personally wrote the name of Shenyang Normal University. On September 17, after re-election, the general branch committee of Shenyang Normal University was established.

In July 1958, Shenyang Normal University participated in the establishment of Liaoning University. The Russian major and education teaching and research section of the former political education department and foreign language department of Shenyang Normal University and some cadres headed by Zhang cuizhong and Liu Pingzhi were transferred out to set up a new Shenyang Normal University; the teachers and students of picture science were transferred to Lu Xun Academy of fine arts; the correspondence Education Department was transferred out to set up Liaoning correspondence Normal University, which was moved to Anton (now Dandong) in 1962 and changed into Liaoning correspondence university

Former Northeast University of Finance and Economics

After Shenyang was liberated in November 1948, the Northeast administrative committee took over the former Shenyang Business Vocational School of Liaoning Province, and established the Business School of the Commerce Department of the Northeast Administrative Committee on the basis of this school. Northeast business college is the first business university founded by the Communist Party of China. At the beginning of its establishment, it enrolled four-year undergraduate students according to the university teaching plan.

 

On November 291952, according to the decision of the central Ministry of education, the former Northeast College of planning and Statistics (founded by the Economic Planning Committee of the Northeast People's Government in 1951), the northeast finance special school (founded by the Ministry of finance of the Northeast People's Government in 1950) and the Northeast bank special school (founded by the head office of the Northeast People's Bank in 1950) were merged to establish the northeast finance college School of economics.

 

In August 1953, the former Northeast business school and northeast cooperation school (founded by the Northeast supply and Marketing Cooperative in 1951) were established

 

）Merged into Northeast University of Finance and economics. In January 1954, the Northeast Institute of Finance and economics was directly managed by the Finance Committee of the Northeast administrative committee. In June 1954, according to the national finance and Economics Department adjustment and specialty setting plan of the Ministry of higher education of the CPC Central Committee, the industrial economics specialty of northeast Renmin University (now Jilin University) and the industrial statistics and industrial accounting specialty of Changchun accounting and statistics school were established. It was merged into Northeast University of Finance and economics, and the Department and major of Northeast University of Finance and economics were adjusted. As a result, there are five departments and ten specialties. Former Shenyang Russian College

On November 19, 1950, in order to meet the needs of resisting U.S. aggression and aiding Korea, according to the instructions of the Northeast People's government, Shenyang Russian Academy was organized and established by Shenyang expert reception office. In August 1951, Shenyang Russian school was transferred to the leadership of the Ministry of industry of the Northeast People's government by the expert reception office. In September, Shenyang Russian school was renamed Shenyang Russian school. In November, according to the notice of the Ministry of education of the Northeast People's government and the decision of the Government Affairs Council to reform the educational system, the name of the school was officially changed to Shenyang Russian college, and the location of the school was moved from Qinghua street in Heping District to No. 7 Xingshun Street in Tiexi District.

In October 1953, the school building located in Chongshan West Road, Huanggu District was completed. Since October 1952, the school has been moving into the new school buildings. In May 1957, Shenyang Russian college was transferred to the leadership of the Ministry of education, and the enrollment was stopped for one year. In June, the Ministry of Higher Education decided that 60% of the students in Shenyang Russian college could transfer, and most of them were satisfied. Merging schools

In July 1958, the Liaoning provincial Party committee and the provincial people's Committee decided to merge Shenyang Normal University, Northeast University of Finance and economics and Shenyang Russian college to establish Liaoning University, and formed a preparatory committee with he Songting, President of Northeast University of Finance and economics, as its chairman. After a month's intensive work, by mid August, preparations were ready for the establishment of the CPC Liaoning University provisional Committee, which was composed of members of the party committees of the former three universities. At the first temporary Party committee meeting held on August 15, Liaoning University was announced to be established and the list of leaders of the temporary University was announced. On August 25, 1959, according to the decision made by the Liaoning provincial Party committee, the two departments of Finance and statistics of the University were transferred to Dalian and merged with Dalian Business College to establish Liaoning University of Finance and economics.

On April 5, 1960, Shenyang Municipal Education Bureau agreed to put Shenyang 33 middle school (now 120 middle school) under the leadership of Liaoning University and set up a secondary school affiliated to Liaoning University.

On June 18, 1963, the Liaoning provincial Party committee decided to transfer the Biology Department of Liaoning University to Liaoning Normal University and the History Department of Shenyang Normal University to Liaoning University. According to this decision, on August 28, 85 students and 12 teachers from the History Department of Shenyang Normal University were transferred to the History Department of Liaoning University. The Department of biology, after repeated efforts by the responsible comrades of the University and department, was able to be retained after the provincial Party committee agreed to postpone the transfer out. But from 1962 to 1971, there was no enrollment for 10 years.

From 1966 to 1971, no formal student was enrolled. Under the influence of Lin Biao's "first order" in October 1969, according to the decision of the provincial reform committee, the teachers and students of the school moved to gaoshanzi reform through labor farm in December 1969 and January 1970. Because of the lack of school conditions, the teachers and students were only engaged in agricultural labor. In March 1971, Liaoning Institute of Japan, the earliest comprehensive Japanese research institution in China (established under the leadership of Liaoning provincial Party committee in 1964 under the instruction of Premier Zhou Enlai on Japanese issues, also known as the second Institute of philosophy and social sciences of Liaoning Province), was transferred to the University and renamed as the Institute of philosophy of Liaoning University, which was jointly managed by the University and the Propaganda Department of the provincial Party committee, and was later issued Japan Institute of Liaoning University.

 

In 1977, the graduate department was established in the scientific research department of the University (in April 1987, the university decided to establish a graduate department; in September 2003, it was renamed graduate college; in July 2011, it was renamed Graduate School).

 

In September 1978, the university enrolled postgraduates for the first time.

In 1983, the Institute of population studies of Liaoning University was established, which is one of the 22 research institutes supported by the United Nations Population Fund.

 

In January 1984, he was granted the right to confer his doctorate. On June 12, the Liaoning provincial Party committee approved the "Liaoning university management system reform plan", and began to implement the college system and the president responsibility system.

In 1996, with the approval of the State Education Commission, Liaoning University was identified as the second batch of universities in China to cultivate MBA (Master of Business Administration).

 

In July 1997, the provincial government formally conducted a preliminary examination on the "211 Project" of schools.

In April 1998, Liaoning provincial government organized experts to carry out demonstration and audit activities. The school successfully passed the project approval, and the "211 Project" construction project was officially launched.

 

In April 2006, he was selected into the National College Students' cultural quality education base.

In September 2017, the Ministry of education, the Ministry of Finance and the national development and Reform Commission announced the list of world-class universities and first-class disciplines (referred to as "double first-class") construction universities and disciplines, and Liaoning University was selected as the national "double first-class" world-class discipline construction university.

 

On November 27, 2018, China Institute of finance of Liaoning University was established, which was jointly established by Liaoning Banking Association and Liaoning University, and signed a cooperation agreement with New York Institute of finance.
