DALONGSHAN National Forest Park

Standing in the north of Anqing City (Yixiu District), 15 kilometers away from the urban area, it is the natural screen of the city outline. The mountain is undulating from west to East. It is majestic with beautiful peaks and winding like a dragon. It is named Longshan. The mountain is 15 kilometers long, covering an area of more than 120 square kilometers. It stretches north-south across the suburbs and Huaining and Tongcheng counties. Longshan is surrounded by water, Shitang Lake in the East, Yangtze River in the south, Shimen Lake in the West and Caizi Lake in the north. Longshan is rich in copper, iron, lead, phosphorus, asbestos, alum and other minerals. There are many peaks, valleys, caves and sceneries on the mountain. The ancients praised its beauty as "not like other mountains alone". Dalong mountain has 92 peaks, 82 rocks, 72 mountains, 62 caves, 36 gullies, 108 odd stones, as well as four streams and six waterfalls of Wulong River, Bailong River, Huanglong River and Chilong river. Longshan scenic spot has more than 200 scenic spots, including 35 cultural landscapes. It is said that "there are 72 nunneries in Dalong mountain". Ancient people's descriptions of the temple landscape are recorded in the county annals. Visitors climb Zhilong mountain from the east end, with huge stones between the roads and folded at the bottom of the mountain, and walk to Yuanzhao nunnery. On the facing cangyan, there is a striking Moyan stone inscription "the first temple of Longshan", which is the regular script of Daoguang Dinghai Ma Xianggu. Yuanzhao nunnery was built in Song Dynasty. It has three temples and pavilions. An original high tower, named Wuliang tower, was built in the Tang Dynasty.

DALONGSHAN National Forest Park is located in the northern suburb of Anqing City, 10 kilometers away from the urban area. It includes the original DALONGSHAN state-owned forest farm and some mountain farms of seven villages including wuheng Township, Luoling town and Yangqiao town. The geographical coordinates are 116 ° 59 ′ 35 ″ - 117 ° 05 ′ 15 ″ E and 30 ° 37 ′ 26 ″ - 30 ° 41 ′ 33 ″ n. Botany

By 2009, there were more than 800 species of plants belonging to 120 families in DALONGSHAN National Forest Park. Pine, cypress, maple, sassafras and bamboo are the main tree species. The natural mixed species of arbor, shrub, grass, Parthenocissus tricuspidata and wild autumn chrysanthemum are distributed. Yuanzhao Temple

Rizhao peak

Rizhao peak is located in the middle part of Dalong mountain. It is the main peak of Dalong mountain, also known as sanxiangjian (commonly known as sanxianjian). With an altitude of 693.4 meters, Rizhao peak has more than 60 scenic spots, mainly distributed near the main peak and on both sides of Panshan highway.

Longshan stone tree

Longshan stone tree, also known as Lingshan stone tree, is located in Lingshan narrow valley behind Longshan Village of Yangqiao. Stone trees are made of thousands of huge granite blocks. Trunk straight up the narrow valley, up to 1500 meters high, the middle layer of rock overlapping, caves densely.

Development and construction

In 1953, DALONGSHAN state-owned forest farm was established, then abolished and rebuilt in 1966.

In July 1992, it was approved to be a national forest park by the former Ministry of forestry and built on the basis of DALONGSHAN forest farm.

At the end of 2009, the government began to build the mountain road and improve the reception facilities in the scenic area. After that, the cableway, uphill road, climbing cycle trail and some scenic spots in Rizhao peak scenic area and Longqiu pool scenic area were developed.

Local specialties

Mozi crisp

Mozi cake is a special cake of Anqing. The main raw materials are black sesame, sesame oil and refined sugar. Won the Ministry of Commerce quality product award and Anhui Province quality product award.

Ice cream cake
