Xilamulun Park

Xilamulun park is the largest open park in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Xilamulun Park, located in the north of the city, is the best place for Tongliao citizens to play. Here, we often see some family members playing with their children. There are playgrounds and zoos in the park. There are symbolic buildings similar to horse head lute in the park, representing the regional characteristics of Mongolian areas.

The predecessor of Xilamulun park is the fruit orchard of Zhelimu League, which was rebuilt in 1984. It was completed and put into use in October 1986. The park covers an area of 40 hectares.

Scenery in the park

In the future, the artificial lake and Matouqin sculpture are the central scenic spots of the park. There are six functional areas, including flower viewing area, garden and tree viewing area, animal viewing area, children's recreation area, cultural entertainment area and lake fishing area.

In 2001, Xilamulun was renovated and opened to the public for free.

Main attractions

There are two sculptures on the central axis of the square. One is located at the south end of the square, which is a dark green martyr statue. Xu Yongqing, the name of the martyr, was the county magistrate of the democratic government in this region during the war of liberation. He left many heroic deeds and died in 1945. Like Xu Yongqing, the famous martyrs who died on this land are LV Mingren and Mai Xin, the author of the great sword March. Mingren street and Maixin town in Tongliao City were named after these two martyrs. In peacetime, we should not forget the heroes who have devoted their blood to this land. The city's humanity has not been reduced because of the growing commercial atmosphere, but has become more and more strong.

This is also my biggest feeling of living in Tongliao for more than ten days. Another sculpture is located on the island in the north of the square, about two stories high. Warm winter. Although the wind is strong, it is not biting. There is only a thin layer of ice on the surface of the lake, which can't pass the foot yet. There are several stone bridges leading to the island in the middle of the lake from different directions. The shape of the sculpture is a "heavy" bronze Book supported by three huge ochre red horse head Qin.

Matouqin is an ancient and magical musical instrument on the grassland. Its pronunciation is similar to cello. Therefore, foreigners call it "Mongolian Matouqin, grassland Chelu (Cello)". What is a book? Is it a folk song? Or grassland heroes? Horqin grassland is a place rich in historical and cultural accumulation. It used to be the hometown of famous historical figures such as empress Wen of Xiaozhuang and Seng greenqin. It has produced Lyric folk songs such as homesick song and powerful horse. Many powerful heroes have emerged, such as gadamelin and peony There are also Xu Yongqing, LV Mingren and Mai Xin mentioned earlier. Or is it a history book of Horqin Mongolia?
