Longtouxiang
A carved dragon stone beam beside the Jue cliff outside the stone Hall of Tianyi Zhenqing Longevity Palace in Nanyan of Wudang Mountain. The stone beam stretches out 2.9 meters in the air and is about 30 cm wide. It is carved with a dragon and a censer on the top of the dragon's head. Therefore, it is known as "the first fragrance in the world - Dragon's head fragrance".
brief introduction
On the opposite side of longtouxiang is the site of lidoutai and Fengyue shuangqingting. Longtouxiang is surrounded by a peak, hanging from the rock and piercing into the sky. It has a great potential to fly. The natural scenery is excellent. There is a dressing table and a flying platform on it. There is a stone in front of the platform. It's called the heart testing stone. The rock is thousands of feet under the stone. It is said that emperor Zhenwu lived in Wudang for 42 years, and he was promoted to heaven. He used to dress here, so it was also called "dressing table".
Construction technology
Dragon head incense is a combination of two dragons carved by ancient craftsmen with round carving, engraving, shadow carving and other techniques. The shape of the two dragons is perfect. The two dragons look up and devour a ball of fire, and jump to fly, which is amazing. It is said that the two dragons hanging in the air on the Wanren cliff are the Royal riding of emperor Xuanwu, who often rides them around. Longtouxiang, also known as longshoushi, was built in 1314 ad (the first year of Yanyou in the Yuan Dynasty). In the past, in order to show their piety, some pilgrims risked their lives to burn Longtou incense, and countless people fell into the rock and died. In 1673 (the 12th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty), it was ordered to ban the burning of Longtou incense and set up a gate to lock it. Looking down from the bar, the tourists feel like "living in Yaotai".
Pilgrims
It is because of the mystery and status of Longtou incense that the believers, in order to show their piety, burn "Longtou incense" every time they visit Wudang, and go to the boundary of life and death between yin and Yang. Because of the abyss, people who burn dragon head incense have to kneel from the narrow dragon to the dragon head to light the incense, and then kneel back. If they are careless, they will be crushed to pieces. There is no doubt that since the construction of longtouxiang in the Ming Dynasty, countless people have fallen from it.
Historical records
In 1673 (the 12th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty), the governor of the Chuanhu court ordered to ban the burning of Longtou incense, and set up a monument to warn. The inscription tells people that God is merciful and sincere, and it is not necessary to climb the cliff to burn incense to be regarded as reverence for God. Therefore, we should not follow the same pattern and destroy precious life. Banning the burning of Longtou incense tablet not only saved many people's lives, but also explained a truth, that is, cherish life.
In 1673 (the 12th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty), the governor Cai Yurong ordered to set up a stele of "forbidding burning Longtou incense"
Under the South rock, the hall is built on the cliff to worship the spirit God. I don't know when to chisel a stone as the dragon's head, put a incense burner in front of it, and look down on the Jue gully. From a high view, the spirit is creepy. If the incense burner fails, he will die. This worldly mediocrity, and the behavior of reckless people, is not the intention of God's kindness. Today, those who move to the furnace hall to burn incense will know that the filial son is not going to climb high and face deep righteousness. Standing in front of the stone eaves, Yongdu villain will take a chance. The abbot of the palace and all the Taoists will always admonish him not to follow the previous path. Governor Chuan Da was born in June of the 11th year of Kangxi.
