Yueyang Museum
Yueyang Museum of Hunan Province is located on the Bank of South Lake in Yueyang City, a famous historical and cultural city of China. It faces the International Dragon Boat race. It was built with an investment of 16 million yuan by the people's Government of Yueyang City. The ground was broken in August 1996 and officially opened to the public on October 29, 1999. Covering an area of 11000 square meters and a building area of 6600 square meters, the museum was inscribed by the late famous social activist and former president of China Buddhist Association, Mr. Zhao Puchu.

The collection of cultural relics has reached more than 20000 pieces, including 6 national first-class cultural relics (sets). The museum has always attached great importance to field archaeology and academic research. It has cooperated with Hunan Provincial Institute of archaeology or applied for active excavation projects for more than 30 times. It has published more than 20 archaeological briefs in relevant professional journals, including chegushan Neolithic site in Huarong County, fushanyuan Neolithic site in huangjiayuan, Miluo City, Shang Dynasty site in tonggushan, Yunxi District, and Longyao excavation in Mawang ‰ Sui Dynasty in Xiangyin County It has attracted the attention of archaeologists and provided convincing evidence for exploring the origin of primitive agriculture in the Dongting Lake area of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the social economy of the Neolithic age, the entry of Shang and Zhou Culture into Hunan, and the evolution of celadon in the south.
