It is a county named Jiuquan county. During the Wei, Jin, southern and Northern Dynasties, it was ruled by Jiankang County in Hexi, where the Beiliang regime originated. In the Tang Dynasty, Jiankang army was set up here to supply the silk road. Zhang Shouli, a famous general, was once an envoy of Jiankang army. According to the six classics of the Tang Dynasty, "there were fifteen villages in Jiankang county at that time.
