Yan'an University

On July 13 and 30, 1941, two meetings of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee discussed that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to merge Zedong youth cadre school (established in May 1940), China Women's University (established in July 1939) and Shanbei Public College (established in October 1937) into Yan'an University, with Wu Yuzhang as president and Zhao Yimin as vice president. The university consists of the Academy of Social Sciences, the school of law, the school of education, the Department of Russian, the Department of English, the Department of physical education and the Department of middle school. There are more than 800 students. The school is located in wangjiaping, the former site of NVDA.

On March 16, 1943, the Northwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee decided to merge Yan'an University, Luyi (founded in April 1938), Academy of Natural Sciences (founded in October 1939), Institute for Nationalities (founded in September 1941) and new literature cadre school (founded in May 1941). The name of Yan'an University is still Yan'an University. The school is located at the original site of "Luyi" in qiaoergou, Yan'an, and the president is still Wu Yuzhang. The university consists of Luyi, the Academy of natural sciences, the Academy of Social Sciences, the Institute for nationalities, the new writing cadre research class, and the middle school department. Luyi has four departments of drama, music, fine arts and literature, and the Academy of natural sciences has three departments of chemical engineering, machinery and agriculture.

On April 7, 1944, the Northwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee decided to merge Yan'an University with the school of Administration (established in July 1940), and Zhou Yang was the president of Yan'an University. The school is located outside the South Gate of the school of administration. The university consists of School of administration, Luyi, Academy of natural sciences, Department of medicine and short-term training courses. The school of administration has the departments of administration, finance, education and justice; Luyi has the departments of literature, drama and music and fine arts; and the Academy of natural sciences has the departments of agriculture, mechanical engineering and chemical engineering. There are 2124 teachers and students, including 1302 students.

From 1946 to 1947, Yan'an college students successively set up eight classes of education, justice, agriculture, literature and art, accounting, administration, news, foreign language and high school department.

Northwest People's revolutionary University

In 1947, because of the war situation, Yan'an University began its wartime March life. He left Yan'an on March 14, crossed the Yellow River eastward on August 22, 1947, and settled in Wujiawan, Linxian County, Shanxi Province. On August 25, he began his classes in Wujiawan. In April 1948, the Northwest Field Army recovered Yan'an. The school moved back to Yan'an in July and lived at the foot of Qingliang mountain in Dongguan, Yan'an City.

In 1948, the Northwest Bureau and the government of the border region decided to expand and strengthen Yan'an University and implement formal education. On October 21, President Li Furen announced that the university will set up a university department, a branch school and a research office. There are four departments: Department of politics and law, Department of economic construction, Department of literature and art, Department of education.

On May 23, 1949, the Northwest Bureau of the Communist Party of China issued an instruction to merge Yan'an University, northwest people's art school and northwest finance and economics school to establish northwest people's revolutionary University. Yan'an University moved to Xi'an one after another. Ma Mingfang and Li Furen served as president and vice president respectively. In March 1953, the northwest people's revolutionary University was reorganized as the northwest political and legal cadre school. At the end of the next year, it was renamed as the Northwest Branch of the central political and legal cadre school.

Reconstruction of Yan'an University

In July 1958, the people's Government of Shaanxi Province decided to restore and rebuild Yan'an University.

The school officially opened in September 1958. At that time, there were only three departments of Chinese, mathematics and physics and chemistry, and three two-year specialities of Chinese, mathematics and physics and chemistry.

In the autumn of 1959, with the approval of the Higher Education Bureau of the provincial Party committee, Yanda set up a medical department with a five-year undergraduate program. In 1960, the Department of principle was separated and changed to the Department of physics and chemistry. So far, Yan'an University has five departments and five majors in Chinese, mathematics, physics, chemistry and medical treatment.

In July 1964, Shaanxi Province decided to change the management system of Yan'an University, changing the former director of Yan'an special office to the director of Shaanxi Province. The relationship between the party organizations is still under the management of the local Party committee.

In 1966, after the beginning of the "Cultural Revolution", the order of school teaching was seriously damaged.

On September 30, 1971, the provincial Revolutionary Committee approved the merger of Yan'an University and Beijing Agricultural University. The university is mainly agricultural, with teachers and medicine. After the merger of the two universities, the university is still named "Yan'an University". On March 6, 1972, the two universities separated according to the instructions of Premier Zhou and Vice Premier Li Xiannian, and the former teachers and students of Beijing Agricultural University moved back to Beijing.

In 1977, the school added the major of political education.

In 1984, six majors, including English education, secretary, economic management, analytical chemistry, biology education and history education, were added.

In August 1985, the original Department of medicine was expanded into an independent Yan'an medical college.

As of September 1988, the school has 9 departments and 11 majors, including Chinese, politics and education, foreign language, management, history, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.

In May 1988, Yan'an University added the major of management and application; in September, it added the major of history education.

In 1989, the major of industrial analysis was added.

In 1992, the specialty of chemical technology was established.

In March 1993, with the approval of the provincial government and the approval of the Provincial Education Commission by shaanxioren (1993) No. 6 document, the Institute of technology first set up four majors: industrial analysis, chemical engineering, electronic technology, computer and its application.

In 1993, the Provincial Education Commission approved Yan'an University to add three majors, namely, applied electronic technology, computer and its application, and business economy, to recruit two junior college classes, namely, administration and public relations, and to upgrade the two majors of biology education and history education from junior college to undergraduate.

In 1992, with the approval of the Provincial Education Commission, the University established three research institutes of Northern Shaanxi History and culture, Northern Shaanxi Economic and Technological Development and Yan'an University.

In June 1991, the school formally established a relationship of mutual support and co construction with the Second Artillery Engineering College of the Chinese people's Liberation Army and Xi'an Army College.

In 1992, Yan'an university enrolled foreign students for the first time.

On September 13, 1993, Yan'an University and Northwest University jointly recruited the In-Service Master of chemical engineering.

In July 1998, with the approval of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Yan'an University was granted the right to confer master's degree. The first batch of master's degree training majors are the history of the Communist Party of China and basic mathematics.

In 1998, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Yan'an University merged with Yan'an Medical College and Yan'an people's hospital to establish a new Yan'an University. The merged Yan'an medical college is Medical College of Yan'an University, and Yan'an people's hospital is affiliated hospital of Medical College of Yan'an University. Comrade Shen Peichang was appointed secretary of the Party committee and president. The school has 12 departments and 24 majors, including medical college, engineering college, adult education college, Chinese Department, politics and education department, history department, management department, mathematics department, chemistry department, physics department, biology department, foreign language department, physical education department, art department and clinical department, with 4661 students. Yan'an University has become a key comprehensive university of Shaanxi Province.

On June 9, 2005, the people's Government of Shaanxi Province and the Ministry of Education jointly built Yan'an University. At that time, Yan'an University had 13 Colleges (including continuing education college, vocational and technical college, Xi'an innovation college), 2 departments, 40 undergraduate majors, 13 master's degree majors, and 9 specialist majors.

In 2006, he was selected into the National College Students' cultural quality education base.

In 2007, Yan'an University was awarded "excellent" in the evaluation of undergraduate teaching level of ordinary colleges and universities by the Ministry of education.

In 2008, Renmin University of China, Beijing University of technology and Beijing Sport University supported Yan'an University.

In 2011, the University was listed as a high-level construction university in Shaanxi Province.

In 2013, the school carried out three reforms: management organization, cadre appointment and department specialty adjustment, simplified the organization setting, implemented open appointment of cadres and competitive employment, and reorganized some departments and specialties according to the discipline categories. There are 18 colleges, including the College of Arts, the College of politics and law, the College of history and culture, the College of economics and management, the College of public administration, the College of Marxism, Lu Xun art college, the College of foreign languages, the College of mathematics and computer science, the College of physics and electronics, the College of chemical engineering, the College of life sciences, the College of petroleum, the College of construction engineering, the College of Educational Sciences, the College of physical education, the College of medicine, and the College of continuing education College.

In June 2013, the key research base of Humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of education and the national research and publicity platform of the Communist Party of China revolutionary spirit and cultural resources research center of Yan'an University were established.

On April 22, 2016, Yan'an University held the launching ceremony of new campus construction and centralized commencement ceremony of new area project construction. The construction of new campus of Yan'an University is a strategic decision made by Shaanxi provincial Party committee, provincial government and Yan'an municipal Party committee and municipal government. The planned land area of the new campus is about 1283.77 mu, the effective construction area is 864.29 mu, and the total planned investment is 3 billion yuan.

In 2014, the College of Yan'an University adjusted to merge the school of Finance and economics and the school of management into the school of economics and management, the school of energy and environmental engineering into the school of petroleum, and the school of mathematics and computer science into the school of computer science.

In March 2015, anesthesiology of Medical College and environmental engineering of Petroleum College were approved as undergraduate majors by the Ministry of education. In addition, biotechnology Majors
