Kejia means "settle down" in Tibetan. It is hard to find out the year when Kejia temple was built. It is said that the origin of Kejia Temple originated from the residents who were good at casting Buddha statues in the area of gar. One day, they sent a statue of Guanyin to the Peacock River by carriage. The carriage suddenly got stuck in a stone, and no matter what, it couldn't move on. So people built a temple at the parking place, named Kejia temple.
The scale of Kejia temple is very small. The murals and layout in the hall are inevitably a little mottled due to the disrepair. But from another point of view, it exudes a kind of primitive and simple taste. Kejia temple is the only way to enter Pulan from Nepal. Many strange dressed foreign tourists pass here barefoot and carrying small iron pipes. These people are mostly foreign practitioners who come to visit the holy mountain and lake. If the weather is hot, they often bathe in the river in front of the Koga temple; if they take photos, they will be very friendly and willing to pose, and then ask you for a small amount of money or food.
There is a beach and beautiful red reeds at the gate of Kejia temple. The nearby Kejia village is a small village with idyllic flavor, quite a bit of a paradise.
It's 19 kilometers away from Pulan county. It needs a chartered car to get there. The road is quite rough. In addition, there are several snowy mountains melting streams in the rainy season, which makes it difficult for cars to pass, especially when the snowmelt increases at noon. Most drivers like to take this road in the morning. In particular, the scenery along the way is quite good.

Kejia Temple means "settle down" in Tibetan. The era of the construction of Kejia temple is now difficult to verify. It is said that the residents in the area of Gar used to be good at casting Buddha statues. One day, the residents transported a Guanyin statue to the Peacock River with a carriage. The carriage was stuck by a stone and could not move on. So people built a temple at the parking place, named Kejia temple. Kejia temple is a small and dilapidated Buddhist temple. It is hard to avoid being a little disorganized in appearance, but from another point of view, it exudes a kind of simple flavor.
King Keshu believed in Buddhism and invited nepo and Kashmiri craftsmen to make a rare Manjusri Bodhisattva statue in xiegar (where Dingri county is located today) on the Sino Nepalese border. On the way back to the king's Palace by car, he was blocked by the legendary holy stone amomuga in gematang. It is said that the Bodhisattva statue said "Kejia, Kejia" (meaning attached or rooted here). Therefore, King Keshu ordered to build a temple with peculiar shape around the holy stone and offer the Manjusri statue to the holy stone in the temple, which is the earliest building of Kejia temple. During the reign of King Radd, he used a lot of precious jewelry and silver to make a throne with 30 lotus flowers for this statue, and built a large-scale opening ceremony for the temple. During the reign of Hanka, the king of Gongde, he helped the temple to make silver statues of Vajrayana and Avalokitesvara, which were used at both ends of the lotus throne to form the famous "three supremacies" of Kejia temple. Because the temple is located on the Bank of Kongque River, in order to prevent flood damage, zaxidezan mobilized believers to build a flood control dam when he was in power, which was the first of its kind in the Guge Dynasty. Later, the Guge kings and their descendants successively added silk Buddha statues, scriptures, sacrificial vessels, repaired or built temples, which made the temple rich in cultural relics. In addition to those mentioned above, there were gold Tara statues of Guge Dynasty, Xiangtong Sakya statues, ganzhur, danzhur Sutra, a complete set of Sakya five ancestors' Heritage Gao Xun, etc. it is said that there was also Ganzhu translated by "qianhongqi" The book of songs.
